MarkChart - Mermaid Editor

I love this app it’s simple and focused and does exactly what I need to maintain a wiki filled with mermaid diagrams! I would just like to mention that the rename action doesn’t work so when I duplicate a diagram to get “diagram-1 copy” I can’t rename it to “diagram-2” in app I have to rename the file in finder.

Great little app, works cleanly and intuitively.

There’s a bug in this - a couple of seconds after you finish typing a line of mermaid, the text pane refreshes, but without the line just entered - in effect deleting the line you just typed. You have to copy the line just entered, wait for it to disappear, then paste it back in …

Clean, simple, does what you expect. Cheap too, happy to support!

I love the written word, but I often need diagrams to make sense of more complex structures and workflows. I also love Markdown (thank you, John Gruber!!!) and I recently discovered Mermaid. But I needed a tool, kind of a combination of Visual Studio Code and Marked 2. So often, when you want a simple tool for a simple purpose, you get inundated with things that only do part of what you need or don’t run on all platforms. MarkChart is AMAZING. So far, every single time I realise I need another feature, I check and it’s already there. Worth every penny (or dime)!

I tried a different, cheaper app, and it was useless. This app, with its $9 price tag for pro (so you can export PDFs) is well worth it — a bargain, really, because it saved me so much time. The app is easy to use, with a clean and clear user interface, and plenty of templates and custom capabilities. Recommended.

I use MarkChart erDiagrams for Xcode Schema documentation for my projects. I make markdown files in my project and use the open in external editor to launch MarkChart as the editor. Great tool. Especially when using AI Assistant to generate the erDiagram text from my model files.

The application works well and I have been using is daily, but good luck if you get into a syntax error. Some even minimal help with debug would make this a 5+ star app.

Works fine, except an aspect of the editor. When there is a syntax error it stops at the first one, you fix it, it finds the next. Better to loop through the entire Mermaid code find the errors, propose a solution with an approve button.
