I absolutely love this app. It can handle all of my projects - some that have 100,000+ stitches! I like that it calculates how many stitches are left and the estimated completion date based on your average stitching rate. So many help videos if you need them. I will never cross stitch without this app!
You will never own an app with better customer service than this one. Besides the many YouTube vids demonstrating EVERY LITTLE WAY to use app, besides the helpful facebook group where you can ask any tiny question and get a quick response; I recently had an issue after an update because I ran it on an 11 year-old iPad. I got a response within the day from the devs outlining possible work-around and solutions. I also see how fast and helpful they are on the facebook group. It’s a wonderful app and will make stitching so much faster and fun. One hundred percent worth the subscription price. I use it daily.
I’ve been using this app for over a year. I love how this app makes the whole stitching process—importing pdf patterns; seeing stitches of the same color; tracking what I’ve done; seeing my percentage complete; having all my patterns with me wherever I go; etc. Recently, I needed help importing an old, degraded, pattern pattern that I had scanned in. I contacted James via the Markup RX-P website. In less than 24 hours, I got a response. James fixed my pattern and explained what he did. What amazing customer service!! Thanks James!
I’ve been cross stitching ever since I was kid. Back then, we had to rely on charts in book or paper form to keep track of our progress. A little over a year ago, I started a massive “cover-all” project with over 400,000 stitches and 132 different colors. It’s a project that’ll take at least another year to complete. I purchased a pdf file on the internet which has 30 pages of charts. Granted, it came colorized, but it was still a chore to keep track of where I was with my stitches. I joined a community of fellow stitchers and when I spoke about the difficulties of leafing through pages of charts, they responded, “don’t you have the app?” Turns out the specific app they were referring to was only compatible with Android devices. Being an IOS user, it wasn’t an option but I was determined to find something else. That’s when I found Markup R-XP! Since I started using it, my work has been so much easier! This has literally been a game changer for me and I don’t know how I managed to live without it! Yes, it’s $19.99 a year but as far as I’m concerned, the developers have more than earned my money! There are so many gems within this app that I can’t believe the developers aren’t charging more. The developers have done an amazing job maintaining the app as well. Routine updates and new features tell me they care about their subscribers. They even have their own YouTube channel which, I must admit, I’ve not seen but I probably should. My guess is that I’ve not fully unleashed all of the features in this app. Nonetheless, it’s still working for me. The analytics are impressive. It literally keeps track of my daily progress on my projects (yes, you can have more than one) and even estimates the date of completion—which will vary by your average stitch time. I love that I can track my daily stitch count. Some days I’m only able to get in a couple of hundred but on really good days, when time isn’t an issue, I can get in almost 1,000. Sometimes I feel motivated by the numbers that I push myself to get to a certain number of stitches. It keeps me somewhat competitive with myself. I’m also a big fan of the “journal” feature. Markup R-XP has its own word document feature which allows me to write specific entries about my work or how I’m feeling on any particular day. It’s like having a written history of how my stitching projects are moving along. I would like to give a huge thanks to the developers who made this possible. You guys have been awesome and I lo
I am a very new user of Markup R-XP. Watched their YouTube channel and uploaded my first chart and ran into difficulties. Contacted them and received a quick response. At their request, sent them the chart and proactively solved the problem within 24 hours.
I found this app about the same time I found a big pattern - 399x399 stitches, full coverage and over 200 colors. I decided to give both of them a try and I’m so glad I did. There is no way I would be able to do this cross stitch without this app. The chart is 54 pages. Each page has anywhere from 75 to 100 colors on it. Without this app I would never be able to find all the symbols for one color on a page. I’m sure I’d miss many of them but with this app that’s not a problem. I won’t do anymore cross stitches without this app.
Have cross stitched for 66 years. This app has increased my speed and accuracy of stitching. It takes time to learn about all the features (I am still learning new things) but it is an excellently made app. Without hesitation, I would definitely recommend it to all cross stitchers. CEH
As a novice, this application is a must have for cross stitching. My wife and I love it’s adaptability. It may take some doing to learn, yet well worth every minute. Fantastic video tutorials!
I could not enlarge the PDFs enough to see the chart on my iPhone or iPad so deleted the app
