Seriously impressed with this app. If you have a large music collection, it gives you so much more control of your library, and more insight into your listening habits. 

The baked-in controls & playlists help you rediscover songs you’ve forgotten about; and make finding your favourites a piece of cake. 

But it’s also worth watching the extensive tutorials on YouTube - which will help you build powerful new playlists based on your preferences. In some cases, it works almost like the software radio stations use to schedule their music, allowing you to flip between new songs and recurrent favourites, and much more besides. 

Totally transformed my music listening. I can’t recommend it enough.

### **--- "How many times should I pay for the same thing?"
Don’t log out of last.fm or get a new device as the app will charge you for the IAP again (the ‘restore purchases’ option does nothing). 
The rest of the app is fine. It’s pretty to look at and there are loads of customisation options.

Two things:
1: insane customisability. There are so many things that you can adjust and change in the app. It is genuinely a please to fiddle with. 
2: Last.FM scrobbling. This app is king for scrobbling to last.fm. Well worth the extra for the last.fm+ features in the app. 

Get the app, you won’t be disappointed.

### ***** "Deep, powerful, and beautiful"
I have been using Marvis Pro for several years now, and it has genuinely changed how I listen to music. The idea of streaming has so much potential, but the default apps (Apple Music, Spotify etc.) are so restrictive, and feel designed in a way that works against real discovery and exploration. Marvis has basically let me build my own custom 'music exploration' app, powered under the hood by Apple Music. The customisation options it allows are so deep and powerful, it is perhaps best understood as a 'kit' you use to build your own music app, exactly how you want to. If you can think of something, there's probably a way to do it — the possibilities are almost endless. Having said that, it's also really well-designed, so feels safe to mess around with; it's essentially foolproof, so you can never mess anything up. It also looks and feels beautiful to use, feeling like a native app.

This app won't be for everyone, but if a deep level of customisation appeals to you, you will absolutely love it. A huge thank you to the developer, who (amazingly) built this more-or-less by himself I believe!

I’ve only had this app for a few hours but so far I’m blown away with it. I’ve been using WidgetPod by the same developer for ages so thought I’d try this out and I’m glad I did, it’s great.
I did have one thing that I needed clarification on (I couldn’t find my downloaded music) so I emailed Aditya, the developer, who very quickly got back to me and explained everything I needed to know (and more).
I literally couldn’t ask for more. If you listen to Apple Music on your phone you should absolutely purchase this app.

### ***** "Worth the effort to customise"
I agree with a previous reviewer; the app can seem a bit overwhelming when you first use it, and some of the out-of-the-box UI may not seem to match the way you use the music app, but when you find out what's available, and importantly how to hide the stuff you don't want and how to customise the stuff you want to see, it's amazingly powerful and beautiful as well. Brilliant customer service, too. You need to understand that the app works through the native Music app and has to adapt to the Apple APIs so there are sometimes limits to what it can do (and if it's open you can't close the native Music app without stopping Marvis from playing your music). All that said, f you want to navigate through your music easily, see your library exactly as you choose to see it and play music via the cloud as well as locally this is the music player to use without a doubt.

### *---- "Disappointed"
Spent around 4 hours over last few days, rating and liking songs from my library using this app. Had it set up to show the ratings and the likes down the right hand side. 

The ratings/likes keep disappearing however. At first I thought it was my imagination when songs I thought I’d rated didn’t have ratings. After a while I realised that they keep disappearing. The app had several freezes when rating songs, so I thought maybe that’s why some didn’t work. So I rated them all again, and this time didn’t have any major freezes, so thought I was good.

Sadly I wasn’t!
I took a screenshot yesterday showing I had 785 songs with ratings. Today it’s gone down to 438.

Loved songs went from 531 to 266.

I bought this app purely to show the ratings on the songs themselves, so I could see favourites at a glance. Why do the ratings and likes keep disappearing? It’s been a complete waste of my time.

Aditya Rajveer (the developer) of this application really did a great job creating Marvis. 

With so many features, personalising the app does takes a while to get a hang of, but if you're a music enthusiast like myself, it's completely worth going through the learning process. 

Additionally, Rajveer hand-types thorough solutions to any queries users may have (  app updates) on the r/MarvisApp subreddit, so I'd check that out if I were you. 
So happy that Marvis exists - makes me glad to have been a loyal apple music subscriber all this time. 

Looking forward to more updates :)

### *---- "Forget it if you have a huge local library"
I bought a 1TB iPhone Pro Max assuming it could actually play the amount of songs it can hold. Apparently not. Only jetAudio works - not even the built in music.app does. Maybe I’ll save someone some heartache and wasted money and time. 

A shame because I love Marvis Pro and every update they’ve put out in the last few years I have raced to download hoping they’d have fixed the issue.

Didn’t take me long to realise that this app is not a standalone app that could replace the iOS native Music app: queueing up the next song has to be done in the native Music app and Siri is not supported by Marvis. Suffice to say that is a non-starter for me.
