## Mastercard Airport Experiences Description
IMPORTANT: This app provides eligible Mastercard cardholders with the ability to locate airport lounges and offers. If you are an eligible member of this program, your Mastercard issuer should provide you with information related to accessing the program. Please contact your issuer for questions regarding eligibility. 

To verify your eligibility, after registration you may see a temporary charge of $1.00 (USD) in your payment card transaction history. This is solely a “pending” transaction and your card will NOT be charged.  After your eligibility is verified, the pending amount will be removed (usually within 10 business days).

This easy-to-use mobile app, developed by LoungeKey, is designed to enrich the time that Mastercard cardholders spend at the airport. The app enables cardholders to explore more than 1000 airport lounges from around the world as well as hundreds of curated airport offers.

At Toronto Pearson Terminal 1, Dec 20, 2024. Plaza Premium Lounge is under new management and they are rude.  It’s always a 90 min to 2 hours wait, very few food choices. They put reserved placement mats on the chairs in the lounge, while people were waiting to get in, I thought that was ridiculous when there was a lineup to get in. It was only at 50% of capacity with a 2 hour wait to get in. They don’t let you have more than 1 drink at a time.  I was trying to get two glasses of wine while my wife was watching the bags. The manager made me walk the drink to my wife and come back to get the 2nd glass of wine.

Got a Ascend world elite card for the lounge access. The app doesn’t recognize the card and asks for a valid number. Called customer service but smells fishy as you are asked to punch in your card number. Absolutely useless for me

Firstly, these lounges are almost impossible to find in an airport and if you do locate it on the app, it is in another terminal.  It is never located in the main airport terminal. 
Secondly, they are often very crowded with limited seating such as Fort Worth terminal.  
Thirdly, the food offered is poor quality.  
 The only value I have experienced with this lounge is a drink.  I’m am seriously exploring other options.

The Mastercard LoungeKey website requires you to have a black flag MasterCard and doesn’t specify what bank or even if Costco MasterCard flag is or isn’t allowed to use this Lounge benefit. This app keeps denying my credit card saying it’s invalid. Then you call LoungeKey and then your own MasterCard in Canada to find out CIBC Costco Mastercard is NOT entitled to even pay to access this so called MasterCard LoungeKey room at the airport in São Paulo Brazil. This is absurd! I am not allowed in this lounge because even though I pay a year fee to have this MasterCard which is black (you “gain” many more benefits) they won’t even sell me access to the lounge. Now I’m stuck in the common area for 10hrs until I’m allowed to do international check-in to Canada. So I can’t even nap for a minute because I have to watch out for my belongings. That’s really sad to see this happening. Please do better in making it very clear what MasterCard Bank flags are indeed allowed to pay for access to this lounge. Please don’t make people feel stupid after downloading this app and making many attempts to validate your black flag MasterCard and then making international calls to finally figure out what’s going on. Black flag CIBC Costco MasterCard is NOT welcome in this app and in the lounge. “MasterCard, Thank you for Nothing!”.
