Which end up being bogus profiles. I signed up for the silver plan which includes unlimited profile views. When I went to search via miles, it only showed me six profiles. I contacted customer service and they told me I would have to upgrade to platinum to see all of them. I then ask for a refund and heard nothing back. -- Pilson7687, 2025-01-02 ### *---- "Not worth it" I used Match in 2023 for a few months. I didn’t find any love connections, but that’s alright. It happens. I decided to try it again just this week. I made a profile, filled in my info and uploaded some photos. You know, did all the basics to get started, including taking their quiz. Everything was fine at first. I scrolled through some potential matches and was feeling hopeful! Later the same day, however, I logged in again only to find that I’d been blocked! I was very confused. So, I reached out to their customer service and reported the issue, figuring maybe it was some kind of technical glitch. I was then asked to fill out a form to appeal my being blocked. I filled out the form and was honest in saying that I didn’t know why I’d been blocked, I’m a real person who is trying to find love and I even included that I’d previously used Match. Their auto response says they respond usually within 24-48 hours. It’s been a couple of days so I emailed the customer service to ask for an update. The response I received was so rude!! They implied I didn’t follow instructions (when I in fact did) and said they considered the matter closed and would no longer respond to any communication from me. OMG!! That’a just awful. They’re stealing people information and not suspending their accounts after they got everything. I tried creating an account many time.. but it got suspended after a few hours. When I tried to sign in, I got a message saying “Your account has been blocked by Match. If you believe you received this message in error, please contact Customer service”. I reached out to customer support, they didn’t get back to me. I decided to create a new account and went through the same nightmare. They won’t tell me why. What did do? The relationship ended soon after I created the profile and I wanted to change my profile to reflect this as I am no longer in an open relationship. (Hoping for monogamy) I was banned from Match for not being single. I Reached out to customer service and they sent this- We have reviewed your account for a ban appeal and have determined you have violated our Terms and Conditions or Community Guidelines. Your account will remain banned, this decision is final. I asked for an explanation since I am No longer violating their terms of service and they will only send this most likely automated reply. On a side note if two people agree to be in an open relationship and are open and up front about that to people they meet there is nothing wrong with that. That being said there are plenty of other dating apps and I don’t expect this review to make a difference with Match. But with such bad service I would hesitate to give them your money- I am pretty sure the person responding to me is not even reading my messages. (Not a big deal but I would be upset if they had taken my money and responded like this) Oh well- I’m sure I will see the customer care team give a generic response to this review and say something like- I’m sorry for your experience please reach out to our customer care team lol 😂 -- 🤓😭, 2025-01-01 ### *---- "Paid But Can’t Get Messages" I paid for a standard membership, but apparently they have changed how Match works. Now I can only see messages from people I have matched with (I.e. we have both “liked” each other). Otherwise it just tells me I have a message and expects me to upgrade to Platinum (very expensive) if I want to see the message. Very frustrating! As a paying member, I should be able to see my messages! It’s awful knowing there are messages out there that I am not able to respond to. Those people must think I’m rude for not replying! And then I wake up this morning to a bunch of messages from men thirty YEARS older than I am responding to messages I never sent. I am guessing my account got hacked. The person said they were a widow and gave out a bogus phone number as well. I think. I didn’t do much sleuthing - just deleted my account.
