I find this app very useful as I am an engineer! Please also include the option to make notes/our own formulas. Thank you! -- Cipher417, 2021-05-06 ### ***** "Fantastic and it just keeps getting better" I’ve been using this app for at least 6 years and I’m amazed at how well the developer has continued to support and improve it. Math Ref was worth a lot more than the 2 or 3 bucks I originally paid for it, and it’s only gotten better since then The developer should add a tip jar so us long-time users can continue to support them. -- Eriksweeklyphoto, 2020-06-01 ### ****- "Worth the two bucks to me" It’s a nice reference source for those who already know a subject. If you have a background in, say, trigonometry, and you know that a certain formula exists but can’t quite remember what it looks like, then this is a useful reference. I don’t think it is meant to be a learning tool. If you have no idea about trigonometry, for example, this won’t do you much good. This runs on a tablet but is really meant only for a phone. On my iPad everything is confined to the left-hand one-third of the screen leaving the rest of the screen blank. Maybe not a problem for most people, but I use my tablet more than my phone so that is kind of disappointing. -- robryd, 2020-05-15 ### **--- "OK, but useless for learning" It's just an organized collection of formulas. If you keep encountering hard to understand mathematical concepts explained in impenetrably arcane mathematical jibber-jabber, look elsewhere. This app is for those who already have a deep understanding of mathematics. Just once, I'd like to see an app writer come up with one that lets the rest of us on board by explaining concepts in plain language, using analogies, animations or whatever else it takes to help the rest of us break through. -- Snookie Gooch, 2017-03-14 ### ****- "Great tool!" I'm a pre-med student and this app helps out a lot when it comes to consolidating the eq. I need when doing homework and practicing / solving problems in calc-based physics etc. It also goes all the way back to pre-algebra for those needing to refresh! -- Offbeatjinx, 2017-03-04 ### ***** "Invaluable resource" As a software engineer, I find myself using this app often as a quick reference for questions in statistics, calculus, and physics when I'm working on a variety of problems. I've been using it for about 4 years, and haven't looked back. In fact it gets better and better with updates. Always the first app I install on my iPhone. -- Nh7k, 2016-11-15 ### ***** "Exceptional App. Maybe my favorite!" As a computer engineering student and math tutor, I find myself using this app all the time. I've recommended it to multiple friends who have also loved it. The layout is very smooth and the presentation is appealing. It's also fairly intuitive to find what I'm looking for. As to improvements, I would really really like to see a section where I can add my own equations and categorize then for easy access. If it had keyboard that allowed me to access some of the special characters such as the Greek alphabet that would be nice too. I would also like to see a slightly easier to read format on some of the equations as they tend to spill over to the new line which makes it a bit hard to read. Other than that, well done guys. A beautiful app! -- B-dubs., 2016-05-02 ### ***** "reliable" As a math teacher, I recommend this application to many students. I like the wide array of formulas present. Moreover I think the problem solvers are topnotch and offer help to most undergraduate students. I would recommend this app. thanks -- Jeremia1612, 2016-03-25 ### ***** "Response to Dr. JEL" Hi Dr.JEL, Full disclosure, this is the developer of the app. Sorry the app isn't loading for you and I'd love to help with that. As for the reviews, they only show for the current version and since the app was just updated none show up. Really like to help you so I hope you can reply by emailing me at chris[at]happymaau[dot]com. -- Coder Chris, 2016-03-20 ### *---- "Still needs work" This was a decent app, but the new update won't load and freezes my iPhone, so I was forced to delete it. A little suspicious how long this app has been out and there are supposedly not enough reviews to calculate an average for a rating. You only need 2 numbers to make an average. Also, there are no reviews,...hmmm? If this review doesn't get posted, I will resort to blogging, along with screen shots.
