## Mattebox Description
Take your photos and videos to the next level! Apply a beautiful filter in one tap, or use the sliders to perfect your look. With easy-to-use tools and filmic results, Mattebox is as pro as you want to go.

— STREAMLINED EDITING —

Mattebox gives you fast access the adjustments you use most, like exposure, saturation and color balance. When you want more control, just swipe up on the image to reveal more adjustments. Once you learn where your favorite adjustments are, you’ll be able to fine-tune an image in seconds.

— FILTERS, UNFILTERED —

New aesthetic filters arrive regularly in the Feed—if you like one, just double tap to collect it in your Favorites!

Every filter is editable, so if you apply a filter but the contrast is not quite right, you can simply adjust it (some adjustments require Mattebox Pro). Like your change? Save it as a new filter! You can even share it as an App Clip, no install required.

— REAL PHOTOGRAPHY, INSPIRED BY FILM —

Mattebox makes all of your images look their best, but for the ultimate quality, shoot ProRAW or RAW photos (using the Camera app, Halide or Adobe Lightroom). When you open a RAW file, Mattebox strips away the AI-powered local tone mapping, giving you a less processed, more natural image.

RAW photos also take full advantage of the custom imaging core in Mattebox, which is based on the way analog film responds to light. Just like classic film stocks from Fuji, Kodak and Ilford, Mattebox rolls off highlights beautifully, so you can increase exposure without blowing out your highlights.

— VIDEO —

Whether you’re making reels or shooting your next indie film, Mattebox has you covered. You don’t have to be an expert in color grading to make your videos pop! You can use all the same Mattebox tools and filters on standard 4K HDR video or Apple ProRes Log footage.

Once you develop a look, use Mattebox Pro to export a LUT for use in your editing system (compatible with Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere, DaVinci Resolve and many more) or camera (check your camera manual; LUT support varies).

— FEATURES —

• Streamlined editing interface
• High-quality filters
• Save your edits as a new filter
• Share a filter as an App Clip, no install required
• Image processing core based on analog film
• Supports 4K HDR video & Apple Log
• Pro-quality 3-way Color Correction
• Open RAW or Apple ProRAW images from 820+ cameras

— MATTEBOX PRO —

All the main features of Mattebox are free. But a subscription to Mattebox Pro adds even more:

• Tonal controls for Highlights, Lights, Darks and Shadows
• HDR-capable RGB and HSL curves, to create truly custom looks
• Physically accurate Pro Diffusion, modeled on real mist filters
• Detailed RAW controls for fine-grained adjustments
• Export filters as Adobe Lightroom Profiles* or 3D LUTs

* Mattebox produces files compatible with Adobe Lightroom software, but is not affiliated with Adobe in any way. All trademarks are property of their respective owners.

## Mattebox Reviews in United Kingdom

### ***-- "An error has occurred"
This was/is a great app and the first version I used all the time, unfortunately the new version has some major problems on the 3GS with ios7. Crashes red boxes floating around saying 'An error has occurred'.

The editor just doesn't function any more.

Good luck with the bug fixes.
-- Wassarts, 2013-12-16

### ***** "Amazing control"
Why pay for filters when you can create your own and try 100's already shared via the Mattebox community.

So many favourite filters made by very talented photographers, love it 👌
-- Fedorov999, 2013-12-13

### ***** "Awesome!"
I loved using Mattebox 1 and was excited about the launch of the 2nd version. I was surprised and pleased when the app was upgraded and I didn't have to pay again, though I would've many times over!
This app is the best photo app by a mile and one of the best designed apps I've used all round. The fact that you don't have to pay anything other than the app price is great. Unlimited filters from great users.
Oh and it handles my DSLR photos WITHOUT downsizing!
You will not be disappointed.
-- Rexyspride, 2013-12-13

### ***** "Amazing...Simpy Brilliant."
Love this app so much. The work and thought that has gone into making this app is just mind blowing. Didn't think I would download yet another photo app but took a chance on this and deleted the others. On my first home screen and not a folder! Even better no in apps. All filters current and new are there ready to use. Thanks Ben and all your team. Rob

### ****- "Cool cool cool!"
Feels slick fast and professional. Taking a bunch of shots is easy, so you can pick out the best one later, locking focus is just awesome allowing you to recompose a shot.

Like the lack of 'social' or irritating sharing features - this is a professional app and should feel as such.

Takes time to get used to and initially is overwhelming but stick with it and you will see yourself coming back to it again. Hope to see more updates in the future

### ***** "GET. THIS. APP."
Amazing camera app - took a while to get used to, and I was a little hesitant at first, but I'll not be using any other apps from now on.

It's more like an actual camera than an Instagram style app. Plus I like the lack of sharing options, and options in general. It annoys me having stuff in an app I never use, but this is just perfection.

If I could I'd give 6 stars
-- Leigh103, 2012-05-06

### ***** "Simple but very flexible camera app"
This app is fantastic. So much more than a beautiful interface. One thing I am massively impressed with is the ability to separately lock focus and exposure: focus first then recompose, quickly release the button to change exposure as desired. Focus stays locked for a second or so. This feature doesn't seem to be that well publicised but the developer talks about it in the Flickr group for the app. Absolutely sets this app apart in my view.
-- Huwster, 2012-04-27

### ***** "Excellent"
This is the best iPhone camera app I have used and I've tried a lot. The half depress shutter feature finally makes the 4s deal like a real camera. There's room for improvement but it's easily worth 5 stars as it is. Keep up the good work!
-- nicemonkeyboy, 2012-04-20

### ***** "Mattebox is my number 1 choice"
This is currently the best 4s camera app on my phone.
The white balance adjustment is brilliant, the shutter button touch to lock focus then slide to take picture is brilliant. Post processing is simple but quality is way better than I expected.
The app is pretty speedy to start up, I started the app in a lift and had taken the picture I saw before the elevator had reached the next floor.
Get this app and start taking better pictures on your 4s.
Easy to give 5*****.

### ***** "Best iPhone photography app I've seen"
Gives great flexibility for point and shoot with good tools for editing. After using the photoshop camera and editing app and a couple of others I've found this to be the best app.
