I’m afraid to update sometimes because it actually creates a bug. This is the primary app provided by the manufacturer to operate the system. The connection to Tidal drops off randomly between songs. When switching tracks with different resolution, you get loud static pop from the speaker unless you disable Native mode on the DAC and lock into a single frequency. The apps also drains battery on my mobile device, both iPad and iPhone. Very disappointed. Com’pn PS Audio, get your act together. I use mconnect controller on my iPhone 11, to manipulate tidal streaming service. I called ps audio, thinking something was wrong with it. What I am experiencing seems to be happening to other users as well. Difficult to get the controller to start playing a track. And not being able to have more than one track played without manually selecting the following track to play. Never for a complete day. There are always problems. Sometimes the music just cuts out, and I get a message that the renderer isn’t responding. Other times it logs me out of Tidal, and I have to log back in. Often after a song or two.
