Quite excellent. However, I do hope for some more customization of the patient list feature in terms of being able to have some parts (dx codes and billing codes) auto filled but not others (admission dates/referring MDs). Right now it’s all or nothing. It would save time billing a large patient list (inpatient or outpatient).

I started using the software on a trial basis in October 2022. The software has many functions which can be customized to a physician’s workflow and needs. I changed to a paid plan after 2 months when I realized it’s the best in the market for small businesses. I used another software at the same time from another vendor (to compare) but abandoned the other one after 2 weeks. MD Billing has real time validation for OHIP cards, updated physician list, and many webinars and documents for teaching. The mobile App and Desktop versions are synced promptly. Their ‘Sticker’ recognition of card numbers is fast, easy, and very useful. If there’s a claim rejection, you get notified promptly by email, and you’re provided with explanation. The only down side, is I couldn’t subscribe to the full plan because they don’t have enough coders. After using it myself, I was happy I didn’t have to do that as you really don’t have to have coders if you bill on your own and have a small business/ clinic. The software has many reports to download so you can keep track of all your claims. I would recommend it highly.

Overall intuitive and convenient to use. Sticker to text is a great feature and works well 99% of the time. 

The main issue is that the automatic billing code IPTMA for hospitalist rounding doesn’t work at all (doesn’t not auto populate billing codes despite already entered admission date and attempted to bill subsequent days) 

In addition it would be helpful for date selection of calendar remains on the month that the last selection was made.
