Get this app yesterday!!
I have been living Mealime, they have plenty of great recipes to pick from all 30 minutes or less cook time. After you choose your meals for the week it auto-generates a grocery list (which can be edited to take off any ingredients you already have or add things you need). I’ve been using the free version and it works just fine, but i’m loving it so much I may just upgrade

I had envisioned such an app! Can’t believe it took me so long to find it. Wonderful, easy, nutritious meals. Love that I can add items to the shopping list and it is automatically categorized. An economical altenative to the meal kit delivery subscription. Great free version but love it so much I opted for pro to give the developer support. Terrific value! Thank you!

This app can hold all my recipes and what took me 30 mins to combine my needs for recipes takes me only the time it takes to decide what I wanted to eat. This is fantastic!!!
Favorite Cooking App
I’ve used this app for three years now and I still love it! It has diversified our meal planning and has made us more experienced cooks. I also love the grocery list and how it combines the ingredients to help reduce food waste. Would recommend the pro version, very reasonably priced and it has some of our favorite recipes!
Made cooking fun!
I’ve been married for 44 years and have been cooking all that time. The Mealime app has made planning and cooking fun again. It’s a super easy app to use and the shopping list is great. Thanks to my niece for hooking me up.
Not for me
This app has recipes. This app has menu planning. This has healthy options. Well actually this apps recipe list is nothing but main stream healthy options. Which means unless you have access to nothing but healthy ingredients, your left holding an empty pot. And unless you are close to your produce supply, you’re left with scrolling for quite a bit to find something your pantry can make. And unless your have decent size pockets, you’re left with making your recipe of choice with a bunch of substitutions. In other words, for someone who is on a tight budget and live in a rural or on the edge of a suburban area, this collection of recipes is not for you, or for me. So I’ll be deleting this app and looking for something else.
Needs More Flexible Allergy Options
Everything about the app looks great! However, there is an issue where only common allergies are recognized. I have a poultry allergy that is anaphylactic, meaning I have to avoid all chicken and turkey, and possibly other birds. (Unusually, eggs are fine.) It would be nice if the allergy list was flexible to a wider range of niche and specific allergies.
DELETED MY ACCOUNT I AM PAYING FOR
I am paying for the pro version cause i really liked the app but now im cancelling it because I just found out they deleted my account! I had all my recipes on there and would use it time to time. However, my phone did like a temporary uninstall where it like just randomly uninstalls apps you haven't used for a bit but keeps the data. Well i re-downloaded it, couldn't get into my account so i sent for a new password and they came back with "your account doesn't exist". WHAT DO YOU MEAN MY ACCOUNT DOESN'T EXIST!?!? I'm literally paying the subscription still!!! They have been charging me for usage when they have had my account deleted for months apparently! I'm so upset because i had recipes on there i'll probably never get back now!!!! Don't waist your time on this app! Use a traditional recipe card box! at least that can't be deleted and is one time payment for the cards! I would have said 5 stars for this app but no all your recipes are at risk on this app and they will delete your account without warning!
