I tried several of the leading meal planning apps and nearly all of them required an account to use. I very much appreciate that this app allows you to skip the account creation process. I also appreciate that this app will throw together semi-random plans for you, as I’m indecisive and other apps left me staring at lists of recipes paralyzed by all the options.

The only things I’d change is 1. to make the “automatically generate a meal plan” (I think they call it Recommended for you) choice the very first option (you currently have to scroll a bit to get to it) and 2. to have an option to automatically create and schedule a plan for a selected period of time, broken down by meal, for example: you choose X number of days on a calendar and pick that you want breakfast, a snack, and dinner, and the app would dynamically build a plan with a breakfast, snack, and dinner food choice for each day.

Otherwise, it’s well worth the $3 a month subscription.

I really am.  My fiancé and I have a hard time keeping to a grocery & cooking plan so we end up eating out a lot or food goes bad in the fridge when we forget what we have.  This app helps us eliminate the guesswork and  go into the week with a solid eating plan.  

We also just started trying to really cut down on our meat consumption and the vegetarian dishes on this app are so so good!

I do not often review apps, let alone anything at all. I have got to say this app changed my life.

I’m 28 and although I like to cook I’m often paralyzed by figuring out what I want to make and making a shopping list and then all that comes after. I’ve been able to have my fiancé (super picky eater) try so many new things because she trusts that the app and recipes will do a good job. She loves sitting with me and looking through the recipes for the coming week! This app has made my shopping and meal list a 15 minute weekly affair and a fun (crazy I know) experience!

I have been cooking so much more and I would pay 5x the amount the pro costs just in order to keep doing Walmart + (highly recommend for the grocery delivery that this app integrated).

Can I just say this app is hands down the reason why my family could stay on the plant based vegan diet? This app is definitely not exclusive for one diet or the other, but my oh my, this has probably over 100 delicious recipes for let me say it, Vegans. I’m a proud vegan but before I went this route in my life I had no idea what meals to eat, what to buy at the grocery store, it was rough the first week without Mealime. With all the filters for dietary restrictions and preferences this app is a no brainer for ANY diet. If you like eating everything, this app has it, if you eat like we do, a Vegan diet, this app has that. Seriously a god send for anyone trying to cook. I hope this helps and doesn’t deter.

### ***** "Game-Changer for Cooking and Meal Prep!!!"
This app has made cooking and meal planning incredibly easy. I can pick recipes, add my own, or pull recipes directly from websites. It automatically compiles all the ingredients into one master grocery list and seamlessly connects with Instacart. I don’t even need to search for items — the list loads automatically, saving me so much time.

For the first time in months, I was able to meal prep effortlessly this week. As I cooked and checked my cabinets, I realized I had everything I needed, plus regular-sized ingredients instead of small portions like with meal kits. Now, I have a fully stocked pantry and can make other meals throughout the week.

I started with the free version, but after one week, I upgraded to the pro version for only $2.99 a month — totally worth it. It takes the stress out of cooking and meal planning, and I’m excited for future weeks of stress-free meals!

This is the best meal planning app out there. Really well thought out recipes, it teaches you a bit about cooking, and it’s so great to not have to buy a bunch of weird ingredients every week. Once you have the staple spices, oils and fridge items they show up in different combinations in the recipes, so you get some variety and actually use up the toasted sesame oil. Love it

This app is great but is has two issues that really hold it back from being perfect. The first issue is a bug which causes the app to crash when shopping through the app with Kroger, it happens fairly often where I get a pop up saying there was an issue and I have to restart. The second thing I wish this app had was an easier to view (and repeatable) calendar view for my meal plan. Technically you can go through and choose a day for each item on your meal plan if you want but you have to redo that every week, where I’d love to just be able to reuse them from before — and it’s not as nice of a calendar view as I’ve seen from other apps, which keep me stuck using two apps for now.

First off, this app truly has reduced my food waste by a considerable amount. I mean you never think about portions in cooking. Not the average home cook anyway. This has also helped me really focus on my nutrition/fitness goals. The only feature I’d like to see is a way to invite a spouse to be a sort of joint account. I’d pay for a family tier if it meant my wife could add recipes she wanted, or could upload/favorite save on her own device. Otherwise, I have no notes. It is just what you need, no frills or ads.

I hated meal planning before this app. I honestly hated making food. I started with a few meals a week. Now I love creating my little meal plan and getting all the ingredients at the store. Today I only spent $60 for our whole week of meals and only 5 of those ingredients weren’t produce!! This app makes eating healthier and wasting less so easy, fun, and delicious!! I don’t think I’ve made a single meal I wouldn’t make again. And bonus! My husband loves every meal that’s come from this app too!! Since the recipes are all about 30 minutes, we’ll trade off cooking each day!

I Love this app! I’ve tried dinner calendars…taco Tuesday, spaghetti Wednesday, and we all just got bored. The recipes on Mealime are delicious with step by step directions that take out all the guess work. This app gives you your shopping list with substitutes, quantities, and what recipe it goes in. You can also add your own stuff to the shopping list so you don’t have multiple list you’re referring to while doing your shopping! I love that feature so much, and it sorts the list by category, which is a HUGE time saver! If you’re looking for an app that helps step up your dinner game with recipes you’re whole family loves, this app is it!

### ***** "Whaaat?!?"
I didn’t know this app existed until a random YouTuber casually mentioned it, but oh. my. Immediately, this app was so helpful. I LOVE the meal planning, grocery list organization, and integration of (your) local online store. 

Few notes:
1. It may just be that I’m still new and haven’t figured it out but why can’t I add a recipe to my cart in app? I can see the ingredients and manually add them but I often change my mind before placing an order and the current system completely discards my previous meal plan, including the grocery list that I was hoping to use. Bummer. 
1B. There is an add button in the grocery list section but it doesn’t connect to recipes or your favorites, and thus isn’t particularly helpful unless I manually type each ingredient from the recipe card thing. I wish it was more efficient in that sense. 
2. There isn’t anything else. This app is great, honestly.
