Description

Medical FlashNotes is a clinical medicine reference and studying tool for students and residents, covering medicine, surgery, paediatrics, psychiatry, and obs & gynae. It is ideal for quickly looking up a condition on the wards, or studying for exams.

Browse or use the quick autocomplete search to access concise reviews of thousands of conditions, presentations, and drugs, with the ability to turn anything you read into a flashcard by swiping it. These are then stored in your custom flashcard stack to review later. Alternatively, the random flashcard mode allows you to quiz yourself using over 5000 flashcards.

All the app data is stored offline - so there's no need to rely on wifi or a mobile signal - with a small file size of under 10 MB.

The app is a free, non-commercial piece of FOAM (Free Open Access to Medical education).

Great refresher

Wonderful reference tool

I cannot express how useful I have found this app as a quick reference tool. It provides excellent concise summaries for whenever I need to double check something.

Best app just got better

Forget all the other nonsense, this app is the one for all Junior Docs!

Great

Amazing resource in a tiny app

Using primarily this app, I was able to revise for and pass my finals OSCE. It’s a great app for people like me who already experience burn out or are overwhelmed by the sheer volume of content to revise before a finals examination. It is not a replacement for proper in-depth revision, but as a quick and succinct summary, it does the job. Also very impressed with how up-to-date it was, content was more or less usually in line with current guidelines.

Save notes

Amazing apps but please removing the swipe left/right to save note function. Always accidentally swiped left/right and the app will bring back to the top page. Tapping the menu on the top right corner also brings back to top page which is annoying. Perhaps could add a star button next to the title to save the notes instead. Thank you!

An unimaginably helpful app for medical students/practitioners

This app is concise and accurate, covering almost everything you commonly come across in medicine. I would like to personally thank the maker of medicalflashnotes!

Brilliant

I stumbled across this little gem whilst searching for medical revision notes and it is my bible. It has everything that any training medical or physician associate student needs for any revision on the go whilst on placement or during your commute. Concise, clear and easy to understand - refer it to everyone on my course!
