Medium: Read & Write Stories

Best spp ever for us spiritual ppl and chosen ones to connect together and share lifeimportant messages and so on from the universe, absolutly LOVE it

Great app, but it doesn’t work so great in areas with bad connectivity. I keep loosing my downloaded stories if I loose internet connection. This seems to especially happen if I just added a story to a downloaded list which doesn’t download completely. Then the entire list is lost. It also seems to give up / time out too quick as other apps work with 1 level of 4G connection, but Medium says I’m offline.

Havent tried it before, but after downloading and checking it out, got me thinking about reading more. Thats not easy i can promise😜😂

It’s all about the people and their stories. A refreshing break from the glorified and superficial social media platforms.

Useless; consider to switch to another platform.

In the app it restricts number of readings of articles for free accounts while via browser its unlimited number of readings of articles.

A nice place and platform for public interest and writhes for publishing articles and stories.

If you make a comment you cannot immediately edit it afterwards. It will not even be shown. You have to manually do a full page refresh, which is even harder in the app, as you have to exit and go back to click the original link. Comments are hard to find: I expect a comment button/icon from wherever in the article I am, but I have to scroll all the way down, click Responses, before I can discover commenting. Your own previous comment is hard to find: I expect it to be at the top, not bottom. I just want the basics to work really well! Other than that, the design is nice. But I’d rather pay for usage than to commit to an ongoing customer relationship that entails a monthly subscription. Some articles are worth paying a small amount for, but I don’t use it regularly enough to justify a full on ongoing commitment.

I read a lot of design articles, an essential part of that is viewing example images. But when zooming and moving an image it closes the image page. Destroys the reading experience. Please fix and let me move the image around while zoomed

As a concept, Medium is a great platform, and there is some excellent content on it (I’d give it five stars otherwise!) But if you want to contribute to it, you need to do so on a laptop or stationary - while you CAN draft a story on the iPad App, it’s very limiting if you want/need to write and publish an article through this application. (NB: I’ve only noticed these issues as I have had to use my iPad as my main tool for writing articles and emails since my computer is in the shop - I don’t mean to be dense). - You can’t put subtitles under images - you cannot access any of the free image services on the app (uplash and so on). - you cannot copy paste more than one paragraph (I actually had a lot of trouble with this as my iPad glitched and the app would not save, and so I almost lost the entire article as I couldn’t salvage the whole thing). - it also has this strange tendency to make some paragraphs invisible - fortunately this fixes itself when you just scroll up/down away from it, and then go back to it. I do hope they give this app some more utility in terms of writing.
