Medium: Read & Write Stories

App is great. I love listening to articles on Medium. High quality articles. But there’s one suggestion that will make the app better: Add AI narrator. Current one reads articles just like a robot and is not impressive. You can create some paid plan to it. People are ready to pay for it. Including me!

But it’s very sad to read articles for money. I hope we are accounts will be increase.

For me, much better than reading on social media. Well, not every article is so well written, there’s such an abundance of high-quality material.

I mean, it’s a great app when it works, but a lot of times when you try to post a comment and even sometimes open an article, it continues to buffer until you have to back out and open again. Also, sometimes when writing a comment, it’s pretty glitchy as well whenever you try to delete a word or something, the cursor automatically moves to the end of the comment or something really weird that makes you have to go back and re-highlight and retype the word again. If it was very occasionally, it wouldn’t be as much of an issue, but it happens quite often.

Easy to use

I plan to drop out. The topics are narrower and more individually oriented.

I think to survive as a platform and increase revenue for writers, medium needs non obtrusive ads. Perhaps you can add an option where a free-tier user can manually enable ads in order to access premium stories? Would be an easy way for those that don't want to spend money to financially support the platform in some way.

The quality of the content has dropped considerably over the last year. There is no real in-depth analysis or research; there seems to be a lot of reactionary writing. The algorithms don’t offer any kind of real-time articles. They seem to be 5 to 10 days late, and the subject matter and quality are really, really poor.

Great source of information and easy to publish novel ideas.
