CREATIVE CONTROL
Music-making can be intimidating. Medly makes it easy by breaking songs down into Sections. You can add notes, audio samples, and loops to your Sections, then copy, paste and rearrange them to build your song. At any time, use the History tool to quickly rewind and undo your changes.

From simply adding a note to complex multi-note editing, each interaction was carefully designed with touch in mind. And with over 300 instruments available to Members, you can quickly try out different sounds and find your style.

Automatically change volume, echo, and other effects to add fades and pitch bends to your sounds. Snap between points and beats to achieve point perfect precision and use the selection tool to edit multiple automation points together. Then open the effect picker to quickly see the automation graphs of all effects within a Section.

SHARE AND PLAY
Quickly upload your songs to SoundCloud, or share it as a video, audio, MIDI, or Medly file. You can also connect Medly to other apps using Inter-App Audio or play in time using Ableton Link.

Other than garage band this was my first daw and as a kid I was shocked at how easy it was to make descent tunes with medley. I have long sense (2017-ish) migrated to computer based softwares but I just recently came back and decided to write something new in medley just for the heck of it. Though very simple you can really get some cool sounds with this app and I am forever grateful that it was such an essential part of my music journey. 

If you’re just starting out with writing music this is a great app do begin with. There’s some pretty basic mixing options here but it’s still possible to get a good sound out of it. Also big thanks to the Medley folks 🙏

This game is absolutely amazing for making music. It’s really easy to use and has tons of instruments. But most of the bass instruments sound the same, and there aren’t enough real instruments. I think you could add an Instrumental pack, with accordion and oboe and harmonica and banjo and other instruments like that. I could really use them. I also think maybe membership price could be lowered a bit, but I don’t really understand that stuff.

I can tell that music making studios are expensive and take work, and  are really hard to develop, but one specific request I have is, Can you add bitcrusher? I try using the drums to make more retro stuff, but it just doesn’t feel right without bitcrusher! But good job developers, you put so much hard work into this app!

I enjoy the mechanics of the app, and I think it could be. Really useful, but to many things are behind a subscription service, I have yet to find a free beat making software with similar quality and ease, as long as there aren’t to many, I would suggest adding advertising and make it a free app.

Hello! I’m a user coming up on 
two years of using the app on and off, with premium. 
I may have mentioned this in a prior review (they seem to get removed somehow) but my number one major ask that isn’t a type of instrument would be a friend system. The idea would be to have options to send or share your music with other users. Yes, you can already do that using the share features. But what I really would adore would be the ability for multiple users to collaborate on songs and albums. My friend group uses the app and I would love to be able to work on music with the group; being a mobile app, it’s way too difficult to try this on one phone between many people. 
As for music requests, I think everyone wants more electric guitar options; they really see extended use in many genres, games, and media. Guitars for reference would look to me like “Abyss of Despair” by Atlus Sound Team. I would also like to hear more electronic options in general, Pharrell Williams-like. Get Lucky, Rock Star, Spaz, and Piece By Piece, for example.

This is my #1 favorite app. Better than Auxy, better than Magix, better than GarageBand, and better than everything else. Welcome to Medly 6. (insert everything I said in the previous reviews here) Okay bye Edit: Actually, there is a bug. It happens when I tell the listener “thanks for listening” and all that stuff. The audio is delayed 2 bars, and I hope you fix it in version 6.2 Thank you
