Very glitchy app. Every time I try to login with google and select my account it just goes back to the login page is driving me crazy! Horrible ux
Disappointing user experience
Amount of pop ups is beyond ridiculous
$8 a week, over $400 a year, you must be kidding
If you want to start a meetup group you would pay about $400 a year which you can recoup by charging a fee to your members. Fair enough. Expecting each member who just want to use the app to pay 400 dollars a year is just ridiculous. The app was originally designed and intended as a free app to bring people together. Where it says SoftwareUpdate:….. …just know each new version gets worse and more annoying. So don’t update. That’s why they never elaborate on what the new update fixes. Meetup will eventually price itself out of the market and people will migrate to Face-book.
terrible service
There is no option to talk to live people and even messages made by them are AI generated. I was charged with a subscription twice but I had cancelled it a week beforehand. Upon submitting a request 5 times, noone had reached out and I was given a basic answer saying a monthly subscription was non refundable for any circumstances. I better not be recharged next coming month because this is a scam. I had never once attended anything on the app due to my busy schedule so the fact that I was charged after cancelling the subscription seems wild to me.
