Monetization is making it trash
You can’t see photos of attendees now unless you pay. What other features will I discover that are locked behind paywalls now?
Bad dating apps
Very very bad arrangements with a pay dating app but did not tell people
Nice but expensive.
In this economy the subscription is way too expensive for a lot of people unfortunately. It’s unfortunate. Would have loved to use it to its full potential if it was more economically friendly.
Meetup never responds
Meetup is a great tool for making new connections, but the website can be completely unresponsive when it comes to enquiries, complaints, suggestions. It asks for reviews and ratings that seem to go unnoticed.
Terrible Service
Of all Apps I’ve known online this has to be the most cloudy when it comes to cancelling your subscription and the biggest let down on the service they offer. Disappointing is an understatement.

Does not allow option to set google calendar as default. Embarrassing…
Paywall, Paywall, Paywall
Everytime i check who is on wait-list, attending, a paywall shows up that you have to close. Used to be alot less annoying! I am NEVER going to pay for this app that I have been using since it came out. New owners…give it up!
Why
Why is MeetUp now charging individuals when each group has to pay a fee to post anything on their MeetUp site?
Used To Be Good…
…now it’s just a money pinching service. They’ve locked down this app so much that you can’t even see who’s attending an event unless you pay. They’ve locked it down so much, they should rename or rebrand this as a dating app 😂
