I wasn’t able to even try it out because there were no way to skip the paywall. They do offer a 7 day free trail but I just wanted to check it out. The app wasn’t adjusted correctly on my screen so I saw no buttons to push. Also if they don’t have a free option I don’t see a reason most people would use this app so I think it’s not worth it. I try another app for the same purpose but that I can choose to pay or not..
It’s great to have an app for events, where everyone can find what are they interested in (if there is an event like that). Just sometimes it might be difficult to find the right event you are searching for
Easy to find interesting groups and events, lacking some fine tuning when it comes to locations. When in Europe not so generally interested in US events that are not digital… Would like to add some geographical preferences.

Why is it not possible to be virtual on Meetup - to exist without being associated to a physical location. Why does meetup pressure me into finding events that are “near me” when I ca as easily attend a virtual event on the other side of the world. Why has the fact that “everything is moving to a virtual space” escaped meetup? Why can’t somebody do this right - just let me be digitally present - why the frog do you care where I am??
The badged won’t clear. and I’m signed up for one event. that I am currently attending, and the app sends me 4 notifications with short intervals, 55 minutes after the event has started! I check to make sure it was not because of comments or anything. As far as I can tell meetup just really wants to make sure that I know that the event started an hour ago..
