The notifications cannot be disabled individually. It sends them unless you disable all in the iOS settings. This is borderline spam.

App ignores calendar add only settings and want to access everything. Imposiible to search for empty keywoard (all events at place) Imposible to separate profiles of interest: a la business, vs outdoors vs particular interest. All mixed together and hard to search.

Much worst than the web app

Search is a failure right now. I search Gran Canaria and it shows events in Barcelona. Nonsense :( No way to share the event I’m seeing. Unusable scroll of search results: types of events organized vertically and their items horizontally. Just exploring the events horizontally would work.

Can’t cancel the plan

As a host it seams impossible to cancel the plan… trying to get rid off it since almost a month now. Saw many similar Reviews on Trustpilot. Seams i need to block my card! Don’t subscribe to anything from them!

Push notifications do not work

Meetup celebrated 20 years and I have been using it for 19 years. It is a fantastic tool for meeting people and organizing activities. Over the years, meetup added more bugs than useful features to the app unfortunately and the support team was not helpful. Push notifications don’t work. As a result, many groups have created another group on WhatsApp for communication. The group search does does not work well, even if you type the exact name of the group. You better search for the group you’re interested in with google. And now meetup requires full access to my calendar for adding events, why this privacy breach? It was working with access limited to adding events before. I am considering whether I want to pay 10$/month for volunteering as organizer of a group.

This App is a joke

I love the concept of Meetup and grateful for its existence, but I absolutely dislike this App. It’s just ridiculously non-functional! It can’t update a single profile photo to begin with, not to mention searching for a group/person. Absolute catastrophe.

Ich benütze Meetup für den Besuch von Fachtreffen. Wenn diese nicht via Meetup ausgeschrieben würden, würde ich diese App nicht benützen. Die Bedienbarkeit lässt leider sehr zu wünschen übrig. Bitte nachbessern. Vielen Dank.
