Just so broken
As an organizer who has been hosting events for years, this app is so broken. It just doesn’t work. Even something simple as marking people as paid or checked-in doesn’t even work. I marked people as paid then the next day everything was just reset. Everyone was unpaid. So now I don’t know who paid or who didn’t anymore. Even a piece of paper works better than this app. I reported a potential defect on their system and they just told me to uninstall and reinstall the app and marked the support ticket as “SOLVED”. Now I know how it’s so broken, not just the app version, the web version and the organizer app as well. If you want to roll out new features or change something, test it first if it actually works.
Frustrating
Logged me out and would NOT let me log back in TWO HOURS before an online event!! I’m in the middle of a conversation with the co-host and now I don’t know what will happen. I have no other ways of joining the event or contacting any members so now i’m left stranded. I haven’t spammed or done anything against guidelines. I can’t even create a new temporary account to use for these events 😭😭
Notification badges aren’t clearing
The notification badges stay even after viewing the item in the app on iOS 14.4 iPhone 8. Also: There should be notifications for when people change their rsvp to no. The help/feedback button in the app doesn’t work which is why I’m leaving this review here.
Great App!
I live the MeetUp App! I’ve been to three events thus far. My wife and I have made some amazing and meaningful connections and seen parts of Bangkok we didn’t know existed!
