Description

Mela is a simple, elegant and modern recipe manager that syncs with iCloud.

SYNC
Sync your recipes with iCloud, either privately (default) or by sharing a recipe library with other iCloud users.

IN-APP BROWSER WITH LIVE PREVIEW
Quickly save a recipe while browsing: If Mela detects a recipe on the currently viewed page, it will be displayed in Mela's native recipe viewer*, on the same screen on the iPad and a swipe-left away on the iPhone. Want to add or view a recipe from outside of Mela? No problem, just use Mela's sharing extension.

FEEDS
Subscribe to your favorite recipe blogs to view all the recipes in Mela's native recipe viewer*.

COOK MODE
The cook mode makes it easy to follow all steps while cooking, displayed using a larger font to make sure everything stays readable even when you're not right in front of your device. You can add multiple recipes to the cook mode, easily letting you switch between them.

TIMERS
No need to switch to another app for setting up a timer. When in cooking mode, Mela let's you easily create and manage timers.
Timers come with support for Live Activities (iOS 16.1+).

SCANNER
Scan a recipe from a book: With the help of text recognition, you can just add it to your personal collection and view it in Mela's native recipe viewer, as any other recipe.

GROCERIES
Mela uses the Reminders.app to manage your grocery list. This has the advantage that you’re always able to access your grocery list on all your devices even if Mela is not installed on a specific device.

CALENDAR
Do your meal planning by using Mela's built-in calendar. It's managed by Calendar.app which also has the advantage that you're always able to access it on all your devices. There's also a widget, showing you the next planned meal from your calendar.

ORGANIZING
Recipes can be organized in categories, marked as “Favorite” or as “Want to Cook”.

PRINTING
Of course, Mela supports printing in case there’s a recipe you want to have on paper or save as PDF.

Please note:
If iCloud Sync is enabled (default), Mela will sync these items with iCloud:
- Recipes
- Browser bookmarks
- Subscription list (feeds)
Not synced:
- Feed recipe entries
- Browser history
Groceries are always stored in Reminders.app

Mela is free to download but will require a one-time purchase to unlock all features.

* Extracting recipes only works for websites that support this, most of them do.

Sehr gut! Bis auf 2 Punkte…

Tolle App, tolles Design! Mit zwei wichtigen Ergänzungen wäre es die perfekte App: 1. Kategorisieren der Rezepte mit mehreren Tags/Kategorien pro Rezept 2. Sortierung der Einkaufsliste nach Typ (Obst, Fleisch, Milchprodukte etc.) - essentiell beim Einkaufen!! Den Kalender Sync würde ich auch gern deaktivieren können, sodass ich den Wochenplan nur in der App habe.

Unglaublich gut. Macht alles was man braucht. Intuitiv und wunderschön designt.

Ich habe lange nach einer App gesucht um unsere Rezepte zu verwalten. Mit Mela bin ich echt happy! Das einzige was mit noch fehlt: es wäre super, wenn nach mehreren Tags gleichzeitig filtern könnte. Zum Beispiel “vegan” & “Kuchen” oder “Vorspeise” & “Fisch” oder “Nudeln”, “Asiatisch” & “Hähnchen”. Dann wäre es perfekt!

Nützlichste App aller Zeiten!

Man merkt, dass der Entwickler selbst zur Zielgruppe gehört. Unglaublich gut durchdachte App. Ist ne echte Hilfe!

Perfekte App!

Super! Rezepte hinzufügen und Teilen ist wirklich einfach. Vor allem finde ich es top, dass man so viele Möglichkeiten hat die Rezepte zu Exportieren und zu Teilen, so kann man die Rezepte auch mit Leuten teilen, die Mela nicht verwenden. Außerdem ist es wirklich eine Zeitersparnis bei der Essensplanung, da man die Zutaten einfach direkt auf die Einkaufsliste in Apple Erinnerungen hinzufügen kann.

Verliebt in eine App

Eine gute Rezepte-App wollte ich immer schon. Aber wer will sich schon mit dem ganzen Datentracking und der Nachhaltigkeit auseinandersetzen. Und Zeit zum Testen habe ich auch nicht. Aber ich nutze seit Jahren die Reeder App für RSS-Feeds von Silvio Rizzi. Und dann sehe ich zufällig, dass er auch eine App für Rezepte hat. Das war wahrscheinlich mein schnellster In-App-Kauf ever. Und seit langem haben 5,99 € nicht mehr so viel Freude ausgelöst. Entspannte Workflows, Liebe zum Detail und zur Datensparsamkeit. Lest die anderen tollen Rezensionen für Details, ich muss jetzt kochen. PS Ich hoffe, dass Silvio Rizzi noch lange am Ball bleiben kann.

Great app

Only issue I have: I constantly need to switch between two Reminders lists for things to buy. Would be a super great enhancement to have a Shortcut action to switch the reminders list target for ingredients and/or have a quick selection in the sheet of ingredients to set on that list.

Die App hat sich fest in meinem Alltag verankert. Es ist super einfach mit ihr, regelmäßig lecker zu kochen. Das einzige, was mich stört ist, dass man die Premiumversion für macOS (bzw. iOS) separat kaufen muss.
