Mem 2.0: Your AI Second Brain

I loved the idea of an app that can gather all my scattered thoughts and help me turn them into productive notes and plans but this app is far from being finished. The AI assistant is a great feature but it. Doesn’t even know that the app it lives in, doesn’t have the features that it’s suggesting. Hopefully this will be fixed soon because this app has so much potential.

I’ve confirmed that the dev team is hard at work on developing 2.0. Huge releases coming as version 1.0 (in the App Store) I’m assuming will not be updated until 2.0 is released “later this year.”

This app is sooo close to being perfect. The simplicity is wonderful but we need a bit more power out of this application like the desktop version. If you could give the AI more flexibility to move it would take this app to the next level. Things that would make me switch: - tables -AI being able to generate data and things like notion -more customization - audio - web clipping -background choosing

The developer made a terrible mistake in not allowing standard email login. I avoid Googleand their apps like the plague and this is why I downloaded mem, if I had a Google account I'd use their products instead of mem. What about Apple login? Are you kidding me? I am not going to share my Apple credentials, not even through an API. Well ... bye.

App is completely unfit to be used across multiple devices. Web version supports Google and Microsoft login. Mobile - Google or Apple. Developer - make up your mind and support the same login across all devices/platforms. Complete waste

Was looking for a place to store and synthesize my ideas. Using it has sparked new ideas and helped me deepen others. Haven’t even leveraged the AI functionality yet!

Mem cannot read the notes I shared with it, I can’t ask any questions about my notes. I can search just fine, but I was really hoping to leverage this AI to collaborate with me across notes I share with it so I could find key insights.

Downloaded this app for the singlar purpose of sharing a note with other people. You can search for people to share with, but no one appears and there is no way to invite like the help articles say. Useless.

This app is about as buggy as it was a 18 months ago when I first started using it. Today I tried clicking into the categories section on a new note and it just wouldn't let me add anything. And when the categories functionality does work, it will often suggest starting a new category for an already existing category. Also, the new -- currently optional -- web interface doesn't seem like a direction I'm interested in (e.g., eliminating the Inbox and templates). And finally, the ai search function is maybe a little too powerful in that it churns up all kinds of hits that just aren't relevant. On the other hand, the simplicity of the layout is one of my favorites among notes apps and is what attracted me to Mem in the first place.

Love this app so much . Once you start using it ,I promise it’ll be hard to go back to another app . Imagine having a vague memory of a note taken or maybe a Readwise highlight ? The chat will find it . Even better is the smart write feature . I wish that “/“ smart write was added into mobile ! I come from using roam and obsidian . This is so much more intuitive . I hope they stay true to road map and add pdf , pictures , and recorded audio !
