Always have been satisfied with the purchases and transactions on this app
Used to be great
I’ve used this to sell things for a few years and also bought stuff. It’s a simple to use app but they got greedy with fees. When you sell something now for say $50 there’s like 10-15$ in fees passed on to the buyer which makes your stuff not sell because it makes the item to expensive. Then if you’re the buyer you see a nice item for $20 it ends up being 35 bucks or whatever. On top of that now they also charge you $2 to withdraw the money you earned…knock it off. Probably won’t use the app anymore.
Full of scammers now
This app was great for buying things like on eBay, but it is now full of scammers who after you make a purchase will ask you to pay a shipping fee outside of Mercari.
you’re better off using depop
i hate mercari. i bought a bag that i saw on tiktok that’s hard to find in stores but is $20 the seller was selling it for $40 and i bought it. i realized i didn’t want the bag and cancelled the order but the seller voided the request even though i requested it way before they shipped it. mercari’s support team did nothing to help me and avoided all of my questions. they told me that the buyer is entitled to void my request, so they’re entitled to my money? never buying on there again.

Stealing from every single customer
Mercari makes up bogus fees simply to extract as much money as they can from every transaction. They will get in a lot of trouble for this soon as well. They charge $8 to ship to you. They have fraudulent $3.18 “service fee” , it’s not a real fee. Also a $2.85 payment processing fee, basically a theft fee. Their business model is too steal as much as they can before they get sued. Well they will definitely get class actioned.

I cannot believe how high the fees are now. Are you trying to ruin your app?? This used to be such a good selling/buying app, way better than all the others. If you’re a seller you’re better off using another company.

They always respond in a timely manner and aim to resolve any issue you may encounter with a buyer or seller. I promise you this app will not disappoint. 100% satisfied app user!

deleted the app because they recently added service fees as well as processing fees and it makes most items no longer really worth it
