## Merite Description
Make screen time a reward, not a habit.

Merite helps you turn everyday responsibilities into intentional screen time. Create tasks for work, study, chores, or personal goals. Complete them to build your screen time budget, then use that time when you want a break.

Instead of scrolling by default, Merite helps you pause, finish what matters, and enjoy your phone with less guilt.

- Complete tasks to earn screen time
- Keep distracting apps blocked until you have time available
- Stay private with on-device data, no accounts, and no tracking
- Enjoy guilt-free scrolling because your break is earned

Turn your phone from a distraction into a tool for balance.

## Merite Reviews in United States

### ***** "AMAZING"
This app lowered my screen time a lot.All the other apps wanted me to pay 40 + dollars this app is free and easy to use.Great job to whoever created this.
-- SCPRODUCTION, 2026-05-09

### ***** "Really useful"
This has been very useful and helped me slow down my screen time recommend
-- Keith _s, 2026-04-30

### ***** "ACTUALLY FREE"
I have been using this app for 1 day and I see the difference I really recommend for anyone.
-- Jebikiah, 2026-04-28

### ***** "Free and easy to use"
Not sure how this isn’t a popular, Instantly love this and how you need to earn your screen time, and finally a free app! It’d be incredible if you could withdraw and pick what app you want to use it on!
-- CarsonD01, 2026-04-05

### ***-- "What it this"
The app great to use and my apps not working to earn more or app wrong to use and how to use to ??
-- Lovanala29, 2026-03-29

### ****- "What"
I thought this was great but it appears to only block apps when my time is up after I open the app. This defeats the whole purpose… This sucks. No, none of my settings are wrong, I’ve already looked.

Edit:
I thought this was the case but I might be wrong? Tried it again and it worked alright…
-- MicrowavedTilapia, 2026-03-24

### ***-- "Incorrect timing?"
Hello! Before I say anything this is a better app than all the other screen time apps but… After I earned 100 minutes and withdrew them, about 15-20 minutes later it shut down my apps again for some reason 😭

I wonder if this is a glitch or something. But yeah…

Thank you for reading!

### ***** "Completely free AND usefUl, I never thought I would find it."
I tried multiple apps to lower my screen time, and honestly, it wasn’t looking good. They all charged money, and even when there was a free option, it didn’t make any sense and was super confusing to use. Every app felt different and complicated.

Then I downloaded Merite. When I got this app, it had a clear and simple way of working, and it actually helps. Even though I’ve only had it for a short time, it lets you create your own schedule for what you need to do. You earn points for completing tasks, and you can use those points to get more screen time. I think this is a really good way to stay productive. I highly recommend this free app because it actually makes a difference and, it is 100% free.
