Summer enjoyment
Since my neighbour discovered Merlin, we have had fun everyday identifying the birds we listen to and comparing notes on the ones we hear. This free technology is amazing. Thanks.
Birding Essential
Amazing app that consistently identifies bird species, many new and unbeknownst to me in my area, that I would have otherwise never have detected on my own Wouldn’t think of birding now without this app. Kudos to the developers for an outstanding product.

Learning birds!
Though I was fairly familiar with birds in my area before, this app has allowed me to identify so many bird calls to help accurately identify them! I love that I can easily record the birds when and where I’ve seen/hear them. A great app!
Useful
Good to use the sound identification to have an idea of what to look out for. Would like to be able to add to my life list without identifying through the app, as I already have an identification most of the time. Some weird glitches surrounding what packs you have downloaded. i has just the eastern canada pack for a while but it didn't work (wouldn't show thumbnail images or come up with id's from the description function even if the bird was in the pack). after downloading the north america pack it works much better. when reviewing sound ID after the fact i would like to be a function where i can learn more about the individual birds.
