Fantastic app BUT (12/30/24)

I have been enjoying this beautiful app, and it is one of the most comforting things ha in my life. For two days in a row, however, my app (when recording birds, manually) the recording shows a blue light, saying “hearing a bird” and I am hearing cardinals, and mocking birds, as well as crows… it shows it is “hearing them” but offers no identification. Located at 38401. 35* 36’ 12.5” N 87* 48.1” W. Thanks. I will reinstall and possibly lose my recordings.

Okay

This app doesn’t know quite a bit of sounds and also didn’t notice the difference between a black-capped chickadee sound and a Carolina chickadee sound from the book “The backyard birdsong guide” which also had a label by TheCornellLab of Ornithology

This app is really accurate when hearing birds. I just started bird watching and it is really fun using the app and well made.

Just record please

al savory on

United States

The app is getting carried away with all these pop ups that prevent me from recording right away. Very frustrating to deal with in an app that should be straightforward and not in the way when its already hard enough for the mic to pick up the call/song. Please stop putting pop up things like "my picks" and other random notifications.

App Needs Better Editing

stash on

United States

I really enjoy using this app when I encounter a bird I’m unfamiliar with and listening to their calls. I have been using this app for many years and have recently encountered an issue with editing past bird sightings. I am finding it’s impossible to edit notes I write on a sighting. So now, every new sighting repeats the notes of a previous sighting and I can find no way of deleting it. Very frustrating.
