This is a not a great app. If you often use Schwab or thinkorswim, you’ll notice the lag immediately. Nothing feels snappy. Every interaction feels clunky.
The only reason I still use Merrill is because their preferred rewards program has no equal.
Best banking app
The Merrill/BofA apps are top-notch and set the standard for my expectations of a banking app. I rate it highly for its utility and ease of use. It’s also very stable.
Numerous bugs. Maintenance and bug fixes??
on the stock page, only the 5 day chart has a graph. others have nothing. it’s been like this for quite a long time. When switching apps, search stops working.
Painful to use
Advanced charting does not show extended hours trading and does not have trade buttons it does not show live data, shortcut button at the bottom should be active orders, watch list, more like think or swim is laid out. App Should open to your dashboard, also it takes way to many steps to get to important functions, it has way to many unneeded windows, you scroll down through six windows to get to order status, the app functions perfectly after you finally get to where you need to go.
Faster refresh.
It seems that I have to continually refresh the Merrill Edge screen I use to track all of my stocks and investments. Basically, I have to continually hit Summary to see what is current. Do you have a faster screen that I can use for quicker updates? Thanks in advance for your input.
Slow loading
This app seems awfully clunky, not easy to follow, and slow to low data.
Since your update I can no longer sign in ????? It’s the wrong kind of FIX
Fractional Shares
Would be nice for Merrill Edge to offer the option of buying fractional shares
Terrible customer setvice. Weird behavior.
They won’t let you buy actively traded etfs like RAAX claiming they are “ too volatile or risky”. Yet there are much riskier funds available like commodities etfs. When you call they won’t tell you why.
Navigation stinks
Does no one who develops this app use it? Navigation through the app is awful. First problem is merging BOA accounts with Merrill accounts. They should be separate. Secondly, the app just is not user friendly. Click research to read on a security, then if you want to buy, you’d think that clicking buy while on that security would just fill in the info for you, but nope. There are many other examples of this type but one other major I need to mention is that there’s no sticky menu, so say you make a trade and it goes through. Now rather than clicking a home button or something, you have to click the back button like a half dozen times to get back home, which is actually the main home with BOA accounts thrown in. So freakin annoying
