Everything you write stays on your phone, encrypted. No account. No cloud. No ads. Free, forever. RETURNING AFTER A LONG TIME? You are exactly who this app was built for. A clear step-by-step guide explains how confession works, what the priest will say, and what happens next, with honest answers to the questions people are afraid to ask. EXAMINE YOUR CONSCIENCE Prepare with 243 examination questions organized by the Ten Commandments, thoughtful, specific, and searchable. Walk through them one at a time in guided mode, or scan the full list. Add your own entries in your own words. CONFESSION MODE When you are ready, Metanoia accompanies you through the whole sacrament: the opening words, your list, the Act of Contrition, your penance, and the final blessing. It even shows how long it has been since your last confession, so you know exactly what to say when the priest asks. DAILY EXAMEN End the day with a short Ignatian examen grounded in Scripture, a few quiet minutes of gratitude, honesty, and hope. PENANCE AND PRAYERS Record the penance your confessor gives you and mark it complete, so it never slips your mind. The Act of Contrition and prayers for before, during, and after confession are always one tap away. YOUR JOURNEY Look back on where God has brought you: a private record of your confessions with dates. Prefer maximum discretion? Keep only the dates and nothing else. GENTLE REMINDERS A quiet nudge, weekly, monthly, or quarterly, so the next confession never drifts out of reach. PRIVATE BY ARCHITECTURE, NOT BY POLICY What you confess is between you, the priest, and God. Not us. • Everything is stored only on your device, encrypted at rest • Locked behind Face ID or a PIN, and hidden from the app switcher • Zero network calls: nothing is ever uploaded, because nothing can be • No account, no analytics, no tracking, no ads • Completely free, with no subscription and nothing to unlock OPEN SOURCE Do not take our word for any of this. Metanoia is fully open source: anyone can read the code and verify every promise above. NOW IN 14 LANGUAGES The interface and the spiritual content, examination, prayers, and guide, are fully translated in English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Polish, Filipino, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Korean, Malayalam, Tamil, and Hindi. Translated with care for the Church's own vocabulary in each language, not machine output. Metanoia means a change of heart. Whether this is your first confession or your five hundredth, it is never too late to come back. Download Metanoia and turn back to grace. ## Metanoia Screenshots - [Screenshot 1](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource221/v4/e6/33/3f/e6333f03-1370-2b9d-ae14-60bdd3e4152b/01_prepare_for_confession.png/1320x2868.png) - [Screenshot 2](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource221/v4/09/a2/b1/09a2b155-b1fc-19e8-067e-6b4520621a86/02_know_what_to_say.png/1320x2868.png) - [Screenshot 3](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource221/v4/a1/bd/64/a1bd64c0-7f24-3ab9-4d52-6dffa41373be/03_nothing_leaves_your_phone.png/1320x2868.png) - [Screenshot 4](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource211/v4/11/8b/16/118b16d7-26e7-729b-0602-f690a7f917b0/04_been_away_for_years.png/1320x2868.png) - [Screenshot 5](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource221/v4/2b/98/cc/2b98ccbf-201a-d1f9-6b0e-91ceca48b340/05_quiet_minutes_each_day.png/1320x2868.png) - [Screenshot 6](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource211/v4/7b/63/f9/7b63f9c1-e943-c6bc-f2ff-add1880af216/06_every_prayer_you_need.png/1320x2868.png) - [Screenshot 7](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource221/v4/35/be/03/35be03bb-bb5f-c6b1-a845-ab02a9bce1b2/07_remember_your_penance.png/1320x2868.png) - [Screenshot 8](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource211/v4/e3/29/d7/e329d79a-38c0-3ea8-95a4-5aaff42e0361/08_your_list_ready.png/1320x2868.png) ## Metanoia Rating Breakdown in United States - 5 stars: 5 (100%) - 4 stars: 0 (0%) - 3 stars: 0 (0%) - 2 stars: 0 (0%) - 1 stars: 0 (0%) ## Metanoia Available In - [United States](https://apptail.io/app/metanoia-catholic-confession-fVbA/united-states) - [United Kingdom](https://apptail.io/app/metanoia-catholic-confession-fVbA/united-kingdom) - [Algeria](https://apptail.io/app/metanoia-catholic-confession-fVbA/algeria) - [Egypt](https://apptail.io/app/metanoia-catholic-confession-fVbA/egypt) - [Greece](https://apptail.io/app/metanoia-catholic-confession-fVbA/greece) - [Ireland](https://apptail.io/app/metanoia-catholic-confession-fVbA/ireland) - [South Korea](https://apptail.io/app/metanoia-catholic-confession-fVbA/south-korea) - [Belgium](https://apptail.io/app/metanoia-catholic-confession-fVbA/belgium) - [Mexico](https://apptail.io/app/metanoia-catholic-confession-fVbA/mexico) - [Panama](https://apptail.io/app/metanoia-catholic-confession-fVbA/panama) - [Saudi Arabia](https://apptail.io/app/metanoia-catholic-confession-fVbA/saudi-arabia) - [Singapore](https://apptail.io/app/metanoia-catholic-confession-fVbA/singapore) - [Thailand](https://apptail.io/app/metanoia-catholic-confession-fVbA/thailand) - [Tunisia](https://apptail.io/app/metanoia-catholic-confession-fVbA/tunisia) - [Lebanon](https://apptail.io/app/metanoia-catholic-confession-fVbA/lebanon) - [Czechia](https://apptail.io/app/metanoia-catholic-confession-fVbA/czechia) --- ## About AppTail [AppTail](https://apptail.io) is a mobile app intelligence platform providing app analytics, ASO (App Store Optimization) tools, keyword tracking, competitor analysis, revenue estimates, and review monitoring for iOS App Store apps.
