I loved using this app throughout the museum, I learned a lot!
Like a previous poster, I thought this would replace the rentable clunky players This doesn't even have the times of the museum or when the shop or cafes are open ! I was hoping for a map that was more helpful... like you could type in "Japanese Tattoo Exhibit" and it would guide you to the correct wing. The current map (on this app or on paper) does not make it easy to navigate the museum There's no calendar of events/times? I'm not entirely sure what this app actually provides except curator recordings of 4 things
I thought you could listen to all audio descriptions, but no. The majority of the audio in the museum is for the rented audio guide. This app is only for those items that have a logo of a mobile device, and there almost none of those around.
You can’t search for a particular painting, artist, genre, or time period and the maps only tell you the broadest geographic information housed in each part of the museum. You’re better off wandering around.
Time to update the app with privacy labels. Also, make sure the app doesn’t track users—the current privacy policy makes me a bit nervous about that.
I used this on my phone at the museum and found it so easy to use. All the curated material, on the walls and audio are on there. Great to preview before going and after to enjoy again!
