Microsoft Authenticator

Honestly whoever is responsible for this app should just leave the industry. It is the biggest example of how an app can go wrong in every way.

I’m not a tech person, neither do I need to have this app. But because of my university, they’ve forced us to use this and it is so hard to use and so annoying as someone who has no business using this app. It’s not the app fault, but I hate this app now because of it ahahahaha

Why can’t I restore my 2fa accounts when I change my phone? It’s very inconvenient

The latest update no longer supports my iPhone. Microsoft forcing people to buy new phones even though the phone is working fine. Microsoft also doesn’t let you download earlier version of app. Clunky and annoying app when it did actually work...

I use it for multiple accounts - never works for any - always have to spend 10-20mins at a go until it works. Useless.

Bunch of scammers trying to make me download more apps you already have my text verification just let me log in normally you pack of frauds this is why Apple is so clear of any Microsoft device useless company

I was FORCED to download this, given no other option, having signed in three times on my college institution email account (three times you can sign in as the maximum allowance before outlook FORCES you to download this app). I provided my mobile phone number as part of two factor authentication which should be ENOUGH. But to Microsoft? No, you must download a new app, accept new terms, and use it every time you sign in. Ridiculous. Breach of customer relations. Disgraceful app. Waste of time and resources.

Peace of mind, very helpful app. I love it

I find Microsoft products generally terrible in terms of UX design, and this is no different. As a little example: The instruction on my PC to sign in using Microsoft Authenticator said 1. Open the Microsoft Authenticator app on your phone 2. Scan this QR code [and a QR code is displayed]. When I opened the authenticator app and went into the email account in question (I have a couple) there was no immediate option to scan a QR code. I had to go looking, and found it before too long, but this stuff really should be clearly signposted.
