I can never find my files even when I save them to my desktop. It wants to save them to some random cloud, and when I re-save them locally it says it can’t open them because of a conflict. I have work Excel personal Excel and an old Excel account and none of them interact with each other. I can never figure out which one I’m working from and it always locks me out of all of them. I have no idea how to access any of my files or how to save any of my files or how to avoid conflicted copies. It’s even worse on my Google tablet and iPhone.. Nothing recognizes each other, and nothing recognizes where anything is saved.

Need spreadsheet to update with data submitted while in the field. This has been such a headache. I spend more time re-signing in, forcing it to open in browsers instead of app, reloading, troubleshooting, etc., than I spend doing my real work (which is what I want to be doing) and it’s the most frustrating experience. We used to use google forms flawlessly. I don’t know why we’re paying for this.

The cells go blank when typing and the formula bar does not display the formula. It’s very annoying and has been happening for as long as I can remember. Please fix and stop breaking it. Now copy/cut/paste stopped working. App also has a hard time connecting to the cloud and does not reliably sync with other devices. Has a hard time merging changes. I’ve also been experiencing the program freezing and locking up. The app closes when switching to another app. Remind me exactly why I’m paying a monthly fee for this program?  How about making sure that the bugs are fixed and the app works before adding “new“ features.

Feedback regarding Excel for iPad stability and document initialization issues
Dear Microsoft Support Team,
I would like to kindly report a recurring issue concerning document initialization and application stability in Excel for iPad.
Issue Description:
The application frequently freezes or becomes unresponsive during the initial launch or when opening ⁠.xlsx⁠ files (both local documents and files received externally via email or messaging apps), despite running on powerful hardware (such as iPad Pro M1).
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Excel and work with any spreadsheet document.
2. Return to the main document menu by tapping the back arrow in the upper-left corner (saving the file in the process).
3. Attempt to reopen the same or any other ⁠.xlsx⁠ file from the menu.
Actual Result:
The application freezes during the initial document loading phase. Files cannot be opened successfully on the first attempt.
Workaround: The issue is temporarily bypassed only by forcefully closing (swiping up) the Excel app from the iPadOS multitasking switcher and restarting it, after which the file opens normally.
Expected Result:
Spreadsheet files should open reliably and smoothly on the first attempt directly from the main application menu, without requiring manual process termination.
Additional Context:
This behavior appears to be systemic across various files, suggesting that runtime cache and background session states are not fully cleared within the unified iPadOS process container upon closing documents. We kindly ask the development team to investigate and optimize memory management and cache handling in the iPadOS version.
