Microsoft OneDrive Reviews

Can no longer report problems, doesn’t upload png files e.g. an iPhone screenshot

All the above, and the latest version has a confused interface. The previous version where you could track the synchronisation was far superior. Dumbed down software with some schoolboy flaws.

Bad Integration with Files App

James Isherwood on

United Kingdom

The app is fine, no bells or whistles but it’s an iPad app, I’m not expecting a desktop experience. However, its integration in the files app is poor. Transfers from local storage to OneDrive are a 50/50 if they upload, ghost files are everywhere and the whole experience is slow. This forces me to do this weird balancing act between the files app and the OneDrive app, which isn’t ideal as the Files app is a lot more user friendly. Click and drag from one to the other isn’t always possible, so you end up having to share the file to OneDrive, which is weird. Overall it’s just janky and I wish I didn’t have to use it in its current form.

Bugs and inconvenience

PTKermit on

United Kingdom

The back button keeps disappearing when in a folder. This is infuriating because then the only way to get out of a folder is to crash the app and start again. Also, sharing to the app from other iOS apps now gives error messages and doesn’t work half the time. Also, the general navigation buttons like Home, Files etc used to be on every page but not anymore so now it’s much slower to get around. The app was working fine before and now it’s buggy and hard to use. What was the point of the update?

Stopped working

free.live on

United Kingdom

Ever since Microsoft introduced Microsoft intro (recently) OneDrive on iOS has stopped working. I cannot see or access any of my files and yet if I go to the 365 app that works perfectly. Clearly, Microsoft have done something to break OneDrive. I’m also finding when I log into OneDrive online, it is also giving errors. Microsoft, what have you done?

No more photo uploads!

Bikes-r-us77 on

United Kingdom

In what feels like a major step back, it is no longer possible to take photos directly in OneDrive! And when you upload a scan, it doesn’t remember the file location you are in!

Unreliable as a backup option for iPhone media.

CK1981 on

United Kingdom

I use OneDrive to store photos and videos from my iPhone but it consistently misses files during the upload process, rendering it useless. I’ve updated the app, done the troubleshooting and contacted support but nothing has helped resolve it. Very frustrating but otherwise OneDrive is very useful for work.
