I’ve used Goodnotes since it came out on the PC. It was ahead of its time back then. Now, it just doesn’t match up to Goodnotes, Notability, Noteshelf, CollaNote, Penbook, Noteful… Maybe I’m missing something. I still have many notebooks in OneNote, but I keep going back to Goodnotes. For me, the only feature I prefer on OneNote is the organizational structure.
Unable to sync OneNote between iPad and desktop
It keeps crashing
OneNote is the worst software Microsoft has ever done!
Trying to use OneNote with a stylus on an iPad is a nightmare. Simple highlighting is a chore. I don’t know if it’s Apple or Microsoft undermining each other but the incompatibility drives me crazy. I mostly access OneNote through my laptop, but it’s much easier to do readings and take notes on the iPad. I hate how competition between the two companies creates a consistently negative user experience across all programs in the Office suite and Apple products.
Please PLEASE please integrate the undo and redo feature (two-finger tap for undo, three-finger tap for redo)! This would make handwriting EXPONENTIALLY better.
It will do the job but the iOS app is a pale shadow of the Windows version, it’s missing a ton of features, the Apple Pencil doesn’t work like you’d expect when trying to annotate documents, pen options are severely limited, the galaxy pens are a gimmick you won’t find much use for and they cause the app to lag, the only reason I don’t give it a 1 star is because the app syncs well between iOS and Windows
I use OneNote almost everyday for everything from making a meeting note to creating a packing list for a trip. I love that changes I make on one device are reflected very quickly on my other devices - I have OneNote set up on my IPhone, IPad, MacBook and my corporate Thinkpad. And I also like that I can separate my work stuff from my personal stuff, and can embed documents. Great product.
I used to use OneNote all day long for work and journaling and I really love the app, but it doesn’t work anymore on iPad. It crashes when you delete text. There are lag issues too. That’s too bad really cause it’s originally a very functional app.
