Outlook for iOS works with Microsoft Exchange, Office 365, Outlook.com (including Hotmail and MSN), Gmail, Yahoo Mail and iCloud.

To make an in-app purchase of an Office 365 Home or Personal subscription, open the app, go to Settings and tap on Upgrade next to your Outlook.com or Hotmail.com account. Subscriptions begin at USD 6.99 a month in the US, and can vary by region. With an Office 365 subscription, you get 1 TB of storage for each user, access to all features in Word, Excel and PowerPoint on iPad, iPhone and iPod touch, and you can install Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and OneNote on PCs or Macs.
Office 365 subscriptions purchased from the app will be charged to your iTunes account and will automatically renew within 24 hours prior to the end of the current subscription period, unless auto-renewal is disabled beforehand. To manage your subscriptions or to disable auto-renewal, after purchase, go to your iTunes account settings. A subscription cannot be cancelled during the active subscription period. Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when the user purchases a subscription to that publication, where applicable.

Managing junk mail & solicitations
Outlook needs to enable smarter blocking of repetitive emails from different spam email accounts. When a specific solicitation email is blocked, further emails with the same content but originating from a different email address should be blocked automatically.

Outlook app is very good and helpful. The only issue is that I can’t mark an email as “high priority” like the desktop app.

Watch the messages coming in
Outlook is a great product. Just two comments : 1 You lose threads and it’s very frustrating. Eg… you receive an e mail and forward it up a colleague … you then want yo reply to the e mail and the reply function is reverting to the colleague and NOT TO THE SENDER…. You then can’t find the e mail to reply to it as it’s gone … into the thread with the colleague …. The system of combining mails is not a good one is dangerous as it tucks e mails away …. And you forget about them if you’re busy and pressured … 2 ( this may have been solved…. if you happen to be preparing an e mail or a message … and another e mail or message comes in … you have a problem because you lose the message you were preparing ! It disappears and then you have to find it …. Sometimes you so in the drafts folder … if it’s an e mail you were preparing but sometimes I could just not find it anywhere …. And you have to start all over again … in my ineptitude I can’t find a decent solution other than switching off the internet connection so nothing comes in while I am preparing a message! Surely there can be some Choice of —-suspension of incoming activity while one is actively preparing a message ??? Or education / help Thank you

The outlook app has limited functions compared to the desktop outlook version. For example sub-folders in the app do not show old items. Neither the outlook app nor the hotmail app have the function to recall an bf egg mail (only the desktop outlook). It seems that better integration among different versions of the app is required, especially for certain functions that are extensively used for remote business workers.
