Every time I open the app I’m staring at the logo with no state change. The app appears to be frozen - almost like a boot loop that never ends. The only solution for me is to delete the app and redownload it to progress to the login page. It works for a while, progressing to the login page and then weeks later the same issue. I’ve been able to recreate this issue on two generations of iPhones. It’s such a bad UX that it quite almost literally be a reason I switch banks.

This new version of the MidFirst Bank app is missing one of the most important features of a bank app. The previous app would send you notifications when purchases were made with the card/account. This is how I found out my card became fraudulent and I was able to contact Midfirst about the charges. It has been over a year and the app still doesn’t have this feature, why? I’ve had fraudulent charges on my account that the bank had to investigate and discovered the charges were fraud. This simple feature should have been placed back in the new version by now. When will this be added?

This app is always struggling to load or having errors. Recently it gave me an error message after making a credit card payment so I went back to resubmit and it told me successful but then a few days later I found out it actually took both payments so instead of my $3,000 payment it took $6,000 dollars even though my credit limit was only $3,5000. Then I had to wait 14 days for the funds to be returned. SO FRUSTRATING!!!! This app is literally always struggling to load and it’s sometimes impossible to even just log in. Do better Mid First!

Deposited a check on Tuesday morning and then told it wouldn’t be available until Tuesday of the next week because it was a mobile deposit. Where is the convenience in that why offer a mobile deposit if it’s faster for me to drive to the location and manually deposit?. I don’t even have to talk about how bad the app is. Everybody else has done it.

This update is awful!!! This app doesn’t allow me to login consistently, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t…most of the time it doesn’t. I never had a problem with the old app. I’ve been with MidFirst for well over 20 years, maybe closer to 30, and because of this unreliable app, I’m considering moving my accounts, as well as my son’s elsewhere. I’ve already been looking around at other banks. Get it together MidFirst!
