Description

midimittr is a simple utility to deliver the experience of low-latency MIDI over Bluetooth LE/USB to iOS Music apps that support MIDI. To achieve this, midimittr is routing the virtual ports of supported applications to Bluetooth and/or the USB Ports. If your favourite application is supporting MIDI, it will most likely work with midimittr.

Bluetooth over MIDI is supported in iOS 8+ and a feature of OS X Yosemite 10.10+.

Incredible utility app for using wireless and usb midi. Can’t believe it’s free! Thanks Dev!!!

Works like Ableton’s midi preferences

This was the only app that successfully let me bridge USB midi between two pieces of audio equipment. Basically I plugged my digitakt and Korg SQ-1 into my phone via a lightning USB hub and this app showed me the same stuff I would see in abletons midi preferences. Now I can use my digitakt as a 2 channel midi to CV converter! Thanks guys 💙

Very convenient app!

In conjunction with other apps that can do accelerometer or ‘gesture’ based midi, this allows me to just strap a spare iPhone to my arm and wave my arm around to augment midi cc’s, this augmenting the sounds I’m playing with.

A life saviour!

The capabilities of this little app are amazing. My Mac wouldn't receive MIDI events from my Roland FP-30 via Bluetooth, and I was about to give up when I found this free little gem. I connect my phone to the keyboard instead, and then routed it's signal back to the MacBook. It works surprisingly well! Thank you for creating this.

Perfect connection

I was able to connect my Yamaha SHS-300 keytar connected via Bluetooth perfectly. There zero latency and I highly recommend this app for any musician. I’m can’t wait to play a live show and be able to move across the stage without any cables to worry about getting in the way.

Great use with the OP-Z and Bluetooth Midi

Works effortlessly with my IOS devices, OP-Z synth, and Puc + Bluetooth Midi converter. Allows me to play a larger keyboard without further investment and leaves my usb-c port open on my synth.

Full of great ideas, not bad execution

The only reason I gave it one star is in hopes that the developer sees it. It’s really a great app. I have just had a problem where the app keeps giving me pop-ups asking me to turn on Bluetooth to make a network connection, while I’m not using it. It all started happening when I added the widget to the widget list. Since then, it pops up every two or three minutes. Removing the widget and turning off background functions hasn’t resolved it. It could honestly be ipados, since crapple is now becoming known as the company which once made reliable devices - while Steve was alive. I’m about to uninstall the app as the pop-up is extremely frustrating. Again, I haven’t had any other problems really. Although, I honestly haven’t used it a ton (It just isn’t extremely useful in my workflow).

Yes! This is the one!

It was a bit of a hassle to get USB set up on Windows (requires additional installation of loopMIDI and a specific version of iTunes), but once it is set up, it runs flawlessly with very little latency. I am able to route my Novation Circuit as a MIDI controller through Reaper and use it to control almost anything on my iPad! Major kudos to the developer for releasing this as free software.

Is ok, nothing special
