Mightyape used to be fantastic and is now terrible. Ive been a customer for ages and since Kogan bought them out and their website revamp 2 years ago it has become absolutely rubbish. This is the best solar fence lights that i have ever bought! The lights can stay overnight literally 12 hours and still has capacity. And the illumination is very really great as the led light has built in lens.

Recent 2026 change. MightyApe don’t disclose that you now have to buy at least one item of over $30 to qualify for free shipping. 

Previously the whole cart total could be over $10. Even $30 would be OK.  
Nope even buying 10 things of $20ea won’t get you free primate shipping!!! 

Mightyape also removed price matching. Site used to be so good. 

Follows the trend of companies getting bigger and degrading customer service in recent years. 😢

Edit: removed a couple of stars, doesn’t open at all now. And yes the spamming is getting a bit much, I already get all your emails plus now getting emails for things I didn’t buy because I can’t afford or didn’t want, but looked at them once. Primate is not a scam though like someone said, you can opt out and easily cancelled. I opted in, with the number of things I buy from you, and savings I make on free shipping alone, not to mention heavily discounted prices, it’s well worth it and easily pays for itself, unlike many other similar schemes.

I love this app. It’s really useful to track orders and view sale items, etc. Unfortunately, lately it’s been very slow to load. I can only get it to open around 10% of the time I click on notifications from you on my phone. I’ve been giving up and going to the website instead. This is the only app I’m having trouble with. I have plenty of space on my phone, it’s not that old, and iOS is up to date. Okay I just checked and it’s a 4-year old phone. But it’s working fine and I’m still finding it quite fast.

Love Mightyape the company and the service they provide but this app has been the biggest disappointment they could deliver. If you ever look up to see if they stick something you will forever and a day receive spam notifications that you can still buy said item and the detailed search options makes some specific items, particularly books in series from experience, impossible to find even when searching by the books actual series title.

Since being sold to an international entity, the clarity of listings (eg what’s in stock and where it’s being shipped from) and customer service has declined dramatically. Mighty ape is no longer my go-to for books or gifts, because you might end up waiting weeks for delivery, with no indication of this on the product listing. A real shame.
