The game is easy and fun to play to an extent. Bronze, everyone is equal but those who P2P. You can have a good time here. As you move to silver that’s when the game starts going downhill. You find yourself against bronze, silver and gold players. Wouldn’t be so bad but these guys usually are just farming gear/stones. So they have much higher stats than you and will always win. You can play the entire season, build up have 150+ castles. A good player jumps on for a day wipes them all out in a few minutes/hours depending on stats. Silver the same just takes a bit longer. This is the only way to play because higher leagues do the same and require much higher stats to participate. Either pay or farm to advance.

The fact the game is free and doesn’t bombard you with ads or constantly try and force in app purchases is wonderful to see. Wish more developers went this route. (Still there, just optional)

I’ve enjoyed my time with the game so far. It’s fairly simple and easy to pick up. But I have run into a bit of a wall when it comes to progression, and the issue is with the core design of the game. 

It’s PvP. Which means, every new player only gets a handful of neutral cities they can hit as part of the tutorial and that’s it. Then you have to try and take on player owned cities. 

And when you’re a new player surrounded by higher level enemies with over 8 million defense power per city, it’s kinda hard to do anything and expand.

And since they have more cities of higher level, they passively produce troops faster than you can which means it’s gonna be super hard to catch up. 

Also, the game randomly crashes a lot.

I don’t hand out five stars willy nilly. This game is fun, addicting, and simple but includes strategy. My one suggestion so far is to have a “regroup all” button so I could protect all my troops in my capitol city. Other than that I can happily say this game is my new favorite.

First season intro is fun, since you have no choice but to be promoted to silver league. Once there, you’ll deal with every no life player who purposefully does not meet the requirements to move to the next league, just to grief new players. You’ll play seasons upon frustrating season getting few good items to let you compete after months with just those low level people. Pay to win, and must have endless hours to devote, day and night.

If your able to destroy even main castle (migrate player to new spot) it would be a 5star game. But not being able to attack a player due to power or troop size is bad and not being able to attack main castle is horrible. Fix those and it would be a 5star game.
