Gave one star just to get attention to a simple bug which is just annoying and probably easy to fix. The widget consists of a blue-greyish background with the count of days on streak, but it is displayed as a rectangle and the left space of the widget is filled with black. The app itself is great, but fix that damn widget, c’mon.
После обновления не могу пройти дальше в js после практики прикладных функций . Приложение виснет. Перевод странный , много чего вообще не понятно. Ответы и вопросы как на алиэкспрес написаны.
Great Programming App!
This app is really free, but its bunch of things you can fix. Sometimes to close advertise you have to restart app because there is not X button. Also its a lot of bugs like I’ve reported that I”ve wroted string value in quotes but mimo doesnt seen that like a String that i,ve got lost 2 heards. You also have to wait about 2,5h for each heart, its preety long because its a lot of traps, but I do understand its busines plan to buy premium. Anyway app is really good if you want to learn basic, 5 stars
First of all a little background of myself. I am ex-coder, working on the business side of IT companies nowadays, and I use Mimo to keep my technical side sharp - as I don’t have any opportunities to code anymore. I was also an academic teacher for 3 years, teaching Python for beginners. With that being said, I can say that I would recommend this app, but only for total beginners, and probably not the smartest ones. It’s definitely not a good app for people who want to work in IT and that’s their career path of choice. It’s app for fun. And that’s because it has two major flows: 1) it pretends that it promotes “active” way of learning, that is not only reading but also writing your code. That’s great approach and the only effective one. You cannot learn by just watching tutorials, that just does not happen. BUT, actually it’s just an impression. App tells you exactly what to type, in which order and where. So it’s just annoying, waste of time, nothing more. Exercises should be more open and challenging. Without challenge there is no progress. 2) material is too detailed and redundant. That’s a good thing for people with troubles, that’s why I gave it 3 stars. But it’s a terrible thing for actual future coders. Not only it tries to cover every case for you, without leaving you room for some exploration and tests, but most of all it just demotivates. If I am asked to fill loop parameters for the 100th time on my small iPhone keyboard - I just give up, it’s too annoying. As an example, why would you make another lesson for every operator in the if statement? Operators like that are covered at school, everyone knows them! Not to mention that if > is greater than, everyone will guess what < stands for without dedicated lesson… And the worst part is, then we get to the functions, and you repeat all the IFs and looops lessons again, but now doing it within the function. Instead of just showing 2-3 interactive examples that you can reuse everything you’ve learnt so far. So to sum up, good up, but treat it as a time killer, not a tool to learn.
It’s a very good app… I would like to say :P For sure the ui is nice and clean which is a strong plus! However there are huge bugs when ad or any pop-up will interfere with the end of the chapter… we are forced to go over and over the same chapter until no pop-up is triggered and the progress is saved… Horrible annoying issue… But in overall the app is perfect for learning basics of chosen tech stack on the go :D Btw Please fix the issue regarding saving progress if the chapter ending is interrupted with any of the in app pop-up
That’s bad that app is bugged a lot. In last part of semantic HTML each of my answers were marked as incorrect and when I checked the solution, they were the same. For 3 days I was losing hearts by writing good answers. This is frustrating. However app is nice for learning and reminding some of knowledge you have, and it can really be a good platform. Obviously after fixing these bugs.
Super👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
App is great, but pushing into paid option is too brazen
