## MiniMed™ Mobile US Description
You can access your pump data and sensor trends directly from a compatible Apple Watch. An easier and more discreet solution to help manage your diabetes, this feature is only available for the MiniMed™ 780G system. 

With the MiniMed™ Mobile app, you can view key insulin pump and CGM data right on your smartphone. This can help you better understand your glucose levels and review your history and easily see how your levels are trending. 

Automatic data uploads to CareLink™ software make sharing your data with care partners easier than ever.

IMPORTANT: This app will only work with a MiniMed™ 700-series insulin pump systems, which was specifically designed to communicate wirelessly with compatible smart devices. To find a list of compatible devices, please visit medtronicdiabetes.com/device-compatibility. The MiniMed™ Mobile app will not work with other MiniMed™  or Paradigm™ insulin pumps. So the app displays blood glucose and transmits data back to Medtronic for some ‘dot matrix era’ reporting. Mmmkay… great back in 2002. For the love of all that’s decent and holy in this world - how about some reporting in the app ? It’s transmitting all that info over… one would think an obvious step would be some insights/ trends via the app. Perhaps even some AI generated recommendations (vs. spamming people with myInsights emails like “”Great job - you earned your Silver Submarine badge for being in range 75% of the time!.  Next month - don’t forget to inject insulin 10 minutes before you eat””.  (Super helpful….🙄).  Medtronic is doing some good things but good grief the UX and device form factors must be designed by people that worked for an airline in the 70s.  I can smell the cigarette smoke, burned coffee and see mustaches and shag carpet from here. Time to update!!

This app is honestly really bad. I have tried more than 10 times at this point to pair my phone with the pump. It says it’s connected and then loses connection. My doctor tried, I also have called the 1-800 number and they tried. It’s successful for maybe 15 minutes and then disconnects again. It’s a bummer because I really do need an app that will notify when I have lows and highs. Is there a better option than this?

While it’s great that there is an app in the first place, a few things that need to be fixed to make this an actually useful app…

The watch complication doesn’t update until you open the watch app, which means if you want to check it for a second time in 5 minutes, it’s there, but after that it shows nothing, and you need to wait for the app to talk to the phone, which talks to the pump to get all of the missing data and update the complication, which can take upwards of 10-15 seconds, rather than just updating in the background and being there at a glance, which makes it rather useless as a complication.  THIS NEEDS TO UPDATE IN THE BACKGROUND!

The second issue is that you can’t silence an alert from the phone or watch.  Inevitably, it’ll tell me something that needs to be responded to immediately while I’m driving, and then I need to dig it out from my belt under the seatbelt, pull it out, read it, and silence the alert on the pump, rather than just hitting Acknowledge on the watch.

Oh, and I have to do this all with the pump upside down, because the pump screen doesn’t have a way to flip 180 degrees!

It would be even better if I could bolus from the phone or watch… that would be a game changer.

We need two-way communication with the pump from the phone and watch!

Just purchased an iPhone 16 pro max with iOS 18.1 and my pump will not pair. The Bluetooth menu on the phone never picks up the pump, and when the mobile code shows on the pump and I select it, it says it can’t find the device, and they are right next to each other. Please make sure your software pairs with 18.1!

I contacted Medtronic tech support. Issue resolved. I had to delete the minimed US app from my phone, disconnect the old Bluetooth pump connection on my phone and turn the Bluetooth on and off; make sure the old connection didn’t show in the pump’s settings. Then I re-downloaded the minimed US app and reconnected my pump to my
Phone. No issues now. Works perefectly.

The app works fine on iOS, but I have to tap the widget every single time in watchOS, and usually have to go back to the homescreen and tap it again to get an updated value. Recently, it hasn't even been opening, so it's nearly useless on watchOS.
