Description
The Minimoog Model D App is a software transmutation of the world’s first portable synthesizer, the Minimoog Model D®. Anyone can jump in and play with over 160 included presets or lay fingers to the controls and begin exploring vast magical realms of creative potential for iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch and Mac.
The Minimoog Model D App incorporates a number of inspiring sound creation tools and capabilities not present on its analog antecedent. New functions include the ability to play chords with up to four-note polyphony, an easy-to-use arpeggiator for rhythmic pattern creation, a real time looping recorder with unlimited overdubbing capacity, a tempo-synchronizable stereo ping pong delay module, and the Bender -- a wide-range stereo time modulation effect module.
The Minimoog Model D App also supports AUv3 Audio Unit extensions, which allows multiple instances of this powerful instrument to be used simultaneously within compatible iOS apps supporting AUv3.
A BRIEF HISTORY
Introduced by Moog in 1970, the Minimoog Model D served as the archetype for all electronic keyboards that followed. It gave users the ability to design their own sounds, translating imagination into reality. The Minimoog’s portability, affordability and accessibility made it the go-to instrument for musicians looking to expand beyond the traditional sounds of the time. Bernie Worrell used the Minimoog Model D to establish Parliament Funkadelic’s futuristic funk sound. Kraftwerk employed the Minimoog Model D on the successful concept album Autobahn, sparking an entirely new genre. Gary Numan replaced his live band’s guitars with Minimoog Model Ds, creating the prototype for industrial music. The classic sound of the Minimoog Model D can be heard on Bob Marley’s Catch A Fire, Michael Jackson’s Thriller and Dr. Dre’s The Chronic; Detailed in the mini-doc series “A Brief History Of The Minimoog”.

UI broken on iPad Pro M4 11 inch
Not usable on my new iPad Pro M4 11.
Problems with ipad pro M4
The app was great but is no longer working on ipad pro M4. Weird gfx glitches.
Wrong Envelope
Instead of 10 seconds only 1 second, App is not useable anymore, i buyed iPhone only because of Model d, i sell it when envelope is not corected
Hervorragender Sound! Ganz miese Stabilität!
Klingt geil, dafür auch wahnsinnig günstig. Findet seit Kauf Anwendung in meinen professionellen Produktionen, zerhaut mir meinen Workflow aber so oft, dass ich es niemals unter Zeitdruck verwenden würde. Läuft nicht stabil, produziert Dauertöne, überlastet die CPU…
Hervorragender Sound
Schwierig zu behaupten, aber ich finde es ist der am besten klingende Synth auf dem iPad. Satte Bässe, setzen sich immer durch.
Toller Synth aber nicht auf dem iPhone
Bitte, bitte, bitte baut eine Zoom-Funktion in das UI ein! Auf einem iPhone schrammt die App knapp an der Unbedienbarkeit vorbei. Ich behelfe mir mit der Bildschirmsynchronisierung auf mein Apple TV, wobei das Bedienen der Knöpfe dabei immer noch übel ist. Aber man sieht so wenigstens, auf welchem Wert z.B. die Filter stehen. Sound: 5 Sterne Bedienung: 1 Stern (auf dem iPhone)

Leider trotz original Moog Herstellers nur halbherzig umgesetzt
Vorweg: Ich habe einen 1979er und einen 2017 Minimoog hier. Und ich hatte gedacht, dass eine App aus dem Hause Moog selber nun alles richtig implementieren würde. Aber leider haben die auch keine gute App Simulation hinbekommen. Die Noise Modulation benutzt offenbar wenn man Pink Noise im Mixer gewählt hat als Modulationsquelle für das Modwheel genau dieses und nicht das Red Noise der Originale. Die Tastatur ist zum Glück umschaltbar auf „legato“ (= single trigger), kann aber nicht auf „low note priority“ umgeschaltet werden. Und genau diese haben fast alle alten Moogs und insbesondere jeder echter Minimoog. Hier in der App ist leider im monophonen Mode (der einzige richtige a la Minimoog) eine „last key priority“ fest vorgeben. Schade, schade. Es gibt noch keinen Anbieter der einen Minimoog wenigstens in diesen Punkten richtig hinbekommen hat. Vom Klangunterschied möchte ich gar nicht erst anfangen.
