Unlike QR codes, barcodes, and florescent inks MintID custom encrypted micro-chips cannot be cloned or duplicated. And you can use it as a guest so no need to log in. For my iPhone 12, I keep the phone case ON so I face my phone toward the chip. Then tilt the top of my phone down onto it at an angle. I looked up a YouTube video how to nfc read yas I did struggle to do it intuitively -- Dudemanio, 2024-02-02 ### **--- "Great idea" Great app when it works, problem is it is contrary at times. I have recently discovered that every time I get ready to use this app, it doesn’t show the login screen, just goes straight to “Ready to Scan Screen “ and always an error message about zero info. I have to delete the app and reinstall it. When I do, I get the opportunity to enter my login info and it works great again until I close it out and try to use it again. It doesn’t ask if I want to save that info but doesn’t give me the opportunity to enter it. Really glad I found a work around so I can scan all my metals as I receive them.
