## Mississippi Mobile ID Description
Including layers of security and privacy controls, Mississippi Mobile ID is a contactless, convenient way to verify your identity from your phone.

Mississippi Mobile ID allows you to control what information you share during a transaction. For example, when buying age-restricted items, the app can confirm you are of legal age without having to share your birth date or address.

Intuitive and easy-to-use, Mobile ID is unlocked by a selfie match to verify identity, or by using a self-selected pin or TouchID/FaceID so your personal information is always protected.

In five simple steps, you can register for your Mississippi mID:

1. Download the app and set permissions
2. Verify access to your phone number
3. Use your device camera to scan the front and back of your driver’s license or ID card
4. Follow the app’s registration steps to take a selfie
5. Set up app security and you’re good to go!

Please note: Mississippi Mobile ID is considered an official state-issued ID, serving as a companion to your physical ID. Please continue to carry your physical ID because not all entities are able to verify mID yet.

For more information, please visit: www.dps.ms.gov/mobile-ID.

This app requires an iPhone 6s (iOS 13.1) or newer device.

## Mississippi Mobile ID Reviews in United States

### ***** "Very convenient"
Love the app I highly recommend 10 out of 10
-- TonyThePhoenix, 2025-06-27

### *---- "Face ID open is hit or miss"
Really like the app when it works, but opening the app with Face ID fails at least 50% of the time! It tries to make me go through the gyrations of lining the dot up with your nose as I did when first installed. Developer- any ideas? This is really frustrating and kills the usefulness of the app which would otherwise be great to have.
-- Pantherburn, 2025-05-26

### *---- "Can’t Update"
I renewed my license, and according to the website the app should update automatically, well it didn’t. I deleted the app and reinstalled it. Now it doesn’t recognize the back of my ID. It keeps coming up with error 60302. I went to troubleshooting, and nothing worked.
-- Mishy206, 2025-04-30

### *---- "Great idea, poor execution."
All works flawlessly until the camera portion. Not responsive, blurry “for security” and no center point for reference. Should take cues from Apple Face ID. Deleted and won’t reinstall until improvements are made.
-- Road_Sofa, 2025-04-30

### *---- "It was 5 stars until I had to update…"
Just renewed my license last week and everything seemed fine until I tried to update my drivers license in the app and everything has gone downhill. I am very disappointed and I hope that they fixed this bug quickly. Between the app in the DMV no one is taking responsibility.
-- Popeye Jenkins, 2025-04-29

### *---- "Useless"
Can’t be done. I have tried the face scan many times and it always fails. Useless.
-- OldSheep44, 2025-04-29

### **--- "Difficult taking DL photo"
I finally gave up. Terrible app. Fail after fail.
-- q1543, 2025-04-28

### *---- "Can’t login"
I’ve tried to login like 100 times and every time it’s a different problem. I would get to the dots and it would not work, I would scan my license and it wouldn’t work, one time I even got to the end but it never verified me. 1 star until I can log in
-- Coffeelove12222, 2025-04-22

### *---- "Face id"
Ive gotten locked out of my own account multiple times simply because it can’t recognize my face. I put the dot on the number and it doesn’t work.
-- Jayla12345678, 2025-04-15

### *---- "Was great until the update"
Unable to update app unable to log in.
