I’ve had a Mobil Smiles card for more than 4 years & for some time I’ve been unable to use the app (rather than having to swipe the card, which is slow & also problematic). I have a newish iPhone (14) which was running on 5G this morning when the app failed yet again to engage - for the umpteenth time (have lost count).
I’ve rebooted my phone, deleted the app and reloaded it; am still no closer to a solution. Version history shows the last update was 2 months ago.
Please fix the bug(s) pronto….

App is very glitchy
Every time I go to use any reward the “oops something went wrong” appears and never works. Have filled up multiple times and tried to used the discounts and it never seems to work.
It seems this app has loads of bugs.

I tried going back to use this app recently and it’s still has the same problems with why I stopped using it. Just doesn’t work for pay in car anymore at any station I try at the last 3 times, when it used to work fine when the app was first introduced. Get to approval stage and just gets error every time. Then have to go inside to scan instead. I changed to bP and pay more for fuel usually because their app works all the time for fuelling at pump! If they can keep their app bug free then you guys definitely need to as well. Ps their app is easier to use than yours…
Prepay?? With extra promotion
Very hard to use your extra savings rewards when you not sure how much your car take in fuel. And not being able to fill it all the way up as your ask was wrong !!!
Some people make it hard for others that do steal petrol. We all have to adjust for the few bad people in the area we live in 😟
Can’t use QR Code at pump
I had hoped to be able to use this app to scan my digital card (QR Code) at the pump, so that I can just do everything at the pump at not have to go inside, and so that I don’t need to carry my physical .
But the Mobil stations I most commonly visit, the pumps are able to scan the QR Code from the app, but it just says it’s invalid.
So if I just want to get the current discount (eg 10c off per litre), I still have to swipe my physical card at the pump.
But if I want to claim one of the rewards from the app eg $5 off, or if I don’t have my physical card with me, I have to go instore, wait in a queue, then scan the QR Code at the cashier. This defeating the purpose of being able to pay at the pump.
Why do you not just fix the app?
So many of the same reviews here. Crazy. You reply the exact same message. Mobil is a multi billion dollar company. But the app and the customer/app support ain’t no gas!
Bugs need fixing
My code is hard to loads on my phone keeps saying something went wrong. I also can hardly ever use the specials as code never loads to use them and the app keeps telling me something went wrong for them to, super frustrating!
I grabbed a new card after being over the app, as my old card’s strip came off but I can’t link the new physical card to my account. Please fix the app and consider linking new card to current account when a old one needs replacing or issue new cards after so many years.
