Mobile Coder Orthopedics offers a unique graphical interface and several searching options to help you quickly identify the correct CPT® codes you’re looking for. Simply touch the relevant anatomic zone for tailored lists of CPT® codes that are easy to search. A handy text search is also provided as a powerful tool to target the correct procedure codes. Another convenient feature allows you to identify "favorite" CPT® codes so common procedures can be pulled up very quickly. 

Mobile Coder Orthopedics includes a comprehensive set of CPT® codes used by general orthopedic surgeons, foot specialists, and hand specialists. You can apply modifiers to your codes, and also use the same code multiple times for the same patient - great when more than one toe or finger is operated on, for example. In short, Mobile Coder Orthopedics offers the most complete list of codes and time-saving features currently available for use by any orthopedic surgeon. 

A full procedure report containing all patient identifying data, plus CPT® code(s), surgical assistants, location and date of surgery can be emailed directly to your biller or any email address from within the App. Patient procedure details can be logged and stored for handy future use. Residents and anyone collecting cases for research or board recertification should find this useful.

As downloaded, this is a lite version of Mobile Coder Orthopedics that allows a prospective buyer to sample the user interface and all App functionality, but is limited to one code per anatomic zone sub-category. Great app. Have used for years. Immediately can send codes to my office manager, billing is done before I return to office. When combined with a ICD-10 coder, all one needs for billing.

Good app and easy to navigate. Very user friendly. Couple of suggestions
1) adding diagnosis coder as well.
2) being able to edit comments or demographics once saved
3) ability to capture pictures taken on the device ( would help with surgical photos or hospital/Asc face sheets for transmittal to office for documentation and or billing )
4) need to add spine codes and spinal injection codes
5) add the new modifier 59 sub codes

icing on the cake would be option to set a default email address for the outgoing data. For users who have multiple accounts on their device - it would allow sending preferentially from a work address vs. a personal email account.

I purchased this app in 2010 and have purchased every upgrade and want to support this app. However it has not improved significantly since inception. For instance it does not have the ability to search patients by name, come on guys this is a very basic function! I see the criticisms regarding lack of ICD-9 functionality which would be great if you offered it but at least offer some basic functionality at the price point for which you are asking.It was initially stated in the original description that this app was designed from the ground up with the assistance of a working  Orthopaedic Surgeon was this only added for marketing purposes?
