The first time I downloaded and installed it, it worked great, connected easily. But other times it doesn’t connect at all, no matter how many times I try, even after going through all of their recommended troubleshooting procedures. When it does connect I have no idea why, nor do I have any idea why it doesn’t sometimes. I do note this relies on Bonjour, an Apple product that does not always work with PCs well. I don’t think they’ve updated their server software in a long time either, and I suspect their product has difficulty with Google Nest WiFi.
Either way, I can’t recommend it due to it’s inconsistency and the failure of their troubleshooting procedures when there is a problem.
Google has a Remote Desktop webpage that seems to work every time (and is free), so if all you want is some basic remote control of your PC, use that. Avoid this and avoid a lot of frustration.
Lacking instructions
I like it so far but am troubled by how often I need to use “shift” to select multiple items or folders. I can’t figure out how to do this.
Buggy Abandonware
This app (or at least its macOS remote receiver) crashes a few times a day. The developer hasn’t provided any updates in a couple of years; it’s pretty much abandonware at this point. Might be acceptable if you were able to get it for free and don’t mind having to manually relaunch the desktop app every so often, but I wouldn’t recommend paying for it.
This used to be great.
I used to love this, but it’s now dead.
The peer to peer Bluetooth and hardwire connection have not worked at all. I went out and got a Magic Trackpad at the apple store because it wouldn’t work. The sever probably has nothing to do with it, but I solved it by getting a trackpad. If you update it to work I’ll keep using it since I have a phone etc. I couldn’t handle the constant freezing and crashing.
I purchased this thinking if I use it peer to peer and hardwired I’ll have no problem. I was wrong. iTunes is no more so I don’t know why you still have that as a selling point.
Fix it or hand it off to someone that will. It’s a shame such a good piece of software is going to go to waste.
Don’t bother trying to look for something better than physical hardware touchpads because it’s night and day.
Just what I needed for my butterfly key problem!
My butterfly keys collect dust, and this is the best solution I've found to either obsessively cleaning the gunk or returning my MacBook to Apple for repairs. If your butterfly key's spacebar is giving you problems and the warranty has ended, here's a simple solution. (You can also use this at the same time you're using your native keyboard, meaning you can use your iPad or iPhone whenever you get to that one key that's a problem if it's convenient for your problem (maybe a numeral or the return key, etc.)) I am madly pleased.
Usb does not work
Bought this version, then bought the additional in-app purchase for usb connection. I meet the min requirements and can confirm this feature does not work.
Rip-off
Not too bad. Same price as the version that works cross platform though. The Other product by this dev can be used on phone and IPAD. This is just IPAD but the same app . TRASH
Cursor does not move on my PC
I bought this for apple pencil recognition to Onenote drawing on my PC. But as I move my finger or Apple pencil on my iPad, the big cursor or original cursor on my PC does not move accordingly. Other things are okay, such as volume up, page skipping of power point presentation.
Wish it supported split screen
I think this is a great app. A bit disappointed that it doesn't support split screen.
Huge lag renders this app pointless
Don’t waste your money. The actual mouse feature barely works.
