### ***** "Aufgrund der sehr alten Bewertungen"
... möchte ich die Gelegenheit nutzen die aktuelle Version zu bewerten. Ich benutze Mocha VNC um ein Windows10 Notebook mit der DMX-Steuer-Software DasLight4 auf meinem iPad fernzusteuern, da es von DasLight leider keine iPad App gibt.

Das komplette Design inkl. der Einrichtung eines Clients finde ich auch nach all den Jahren noch immer etwas Benutzerunfreundlich und Lieblos gestaltet. Doch hat man seinen Client einmal so konfiguriert, dass der Finger/Pencil als ‚Mouse at Finger‘ agiert, und das Bild mit dem Schloß-Symbol festgesetzt und vor allen Dingen komplett im Vollbild auf die Displaygröße des iPad eingepasst wird, steht der Bedienung nichts mehr im Wege.

Einzig, dass der Bildschirminhalt nicht mehr übertragen wird, wenn das Display des Notebooks durch Zuklappen abschaltet, finde ich schade. Ich weiß aber nicht wo hier die Limitierung liegt. Ob bei Windows, dem VNC Protokoll, dem TightVNC Server, oder Mocha.

Ich gebe sehr gerne 4 Sterne, da die App macht was sie verspricht und ich mein Problem gelöst habe. Den 5. Stern gebe ich gerne, wenn das Design/Interface mal etwas schöner und Benutzerfreundlicher gestaltet wurde.

Es ist auf jeden Fall alles funktional und das ist das Wichtigste, daher gibt es eine klare Kaufempfehlung. Auch gegenüber RealVNC und dem RippleVNC.

Really great app, use it every day! Best one for keyboard usage on iPhone (tested some, this was the only one satisfying my needs), controlling my Mac.
But I've discovered a bug:
When I use my Macbook together with another monitor and use the Macbook screen and the monitor screen with the same desktop (like not creating a new desktop on the second screen, just having the normal desktop on both monitors), the mouse of the app doesn't work correctly. On the iPhone, when I tap on a certain spot in Mocha, the mouse does not jump to that spot, but a bit above (or below, don't remember right now). So mouse is not usable in this 2-monitor-mode. When I have only one monitor, it works.
Unfortunately I currently always work with 2 monitors, so I cannot use the app's mouse. So that's why only 4 stars, definitely 5 again if this works.
Ah yes, one thing to have would be great: The ability to hold a certain key (meant shift, cmd, etc.) while using e.g. the real, physical mouse at the same time (e.g. shift+klick) or the arrow keys, (e.g. hold shift + use arrow keys several times without having to re-activate shift again). Could need that very well for some programs on the Mac (especially Logic in my case). Maybe a double tap on the shift/cmd/etc. buttons in Mocha to keep it activated.
Have to say that I mostly use Mocha as a keyboard substitute while sitting in front of my Mac, using my real mouse at the same time, and sometimes also my phyical keyboard too. Would be great if the three could interact with each other in terms of commands

alles gut, bis auf die neuen Icons die anscheinend für iOS7 geändert sind. Dieses grün macht blind!

### **--- "Verbindung gut Steuerung schlecht"
Die Verbindung mit dem Mac klappt super und ist schnell eingerichtet. 

Die Steuerung ist leider sehr schlecht.

Scrollen mit zwei Fingern reagiert so empfindlich das man fast immer bis zum Seitenende scrollt (mit Safari getestet). 

Will man in einem Dropdown Menü (z.B. Browser) ein Eintrag anklicken, schließt das Menü ohne das der Link ausgeführt wird. Erst nach mehrmaligen Probieren geht es. 

Fenstergröße ändern ist nahezu unmöglich. Den Rahmen trifft man nie. 

Scrollen geht nur wenn man das Fenster fixiert. Dann kan man den Ausschnitt aber nivht mehr verschieben. Das ewige Umgeschalte dazu nervt sehr. 

Die Bedienung sollte massive überarbeitet werden!

### ****- "Geniale Leistung"
Seit drei Tagen besitze ich nun das iPad2. Einen Mac seit 2007.
Dieses, zunächst in der Lite-Version getestete Programm, erfüllt voll und ganz die fast nicht gelaubte Funktionalität eines Tablet mit herkömmlicher Computertechnik. Auch mit der Vollversion gibt es weder mit der Einrichtung, noch bei der 'Arbeit' Probleme.
Ich hoffe jetzt auf Kontinuität in Bezug auf Updates, so dass diese geniale Lösung weiterhin erhalten bleibt.
Vier Sterne wegen der zwar funktionierenden, aber recht umständlichen Handhabung der Mouse-Funktion mittels scroll banner.

2013_01: Immer nch sehr zufrieden mit dieser Fernsteuerung. Nicht zuletzt die Wake up Funktionalität ist ein unerlässliches Feature im Wege im Haus zu vermeiden. 

Up to date App, auch wenn manche klagen sollten.

### **--- "Okay, wenn da nicht..."
die Maus wäre. Mehr als drei Sterne kann ich dafür leider nicht geben.
Schaut euch doch einfach mal die Maussteuerung der RDP App "2xClient" an.
Dort könnt ihr lernen, wie es anständig funktioniert, und das sogar kostenlos.
Es wäre schön, wenn da beim nächsten Update etwas in diese Richtung verbessert werden würde.

### ****- "Nettes Tool!"
Habe diese app seit längerem installiert und oft benutzt. Habe verschiedenste Spielereien ausprobiert und bin prinzipiell der Ansicht, dass die investition sich gelohnt hat. 

Letztes Jahr habe ich dann auf OS X 10.7 aufgerüstet. Seitdem muckt der Spaß manchmal rum. Man landet nach dem connecten immer im Anmeldefenster, regelmäßig lässt sich da jedoch keine Eingabe machen und manchmal werden nichtmal die Benutzeraccounts angezeigt. 

Liegt vielleicht auch daran, dass mein Mac falsch eingestellt ist (wenn ja, was muss ich umstellen?) aber das kratzt an der Praktikabilität.

### ****- "Kein Remote-Mouse-Cursor, deshalb als Remote-Display nicht gebauchbar"
Obwohl Mocha VNC dank Lion-Sign-in sehr vorteilhaft erschien, habe ich mit Mocha VNC als OSX Lion Client große Probleme, da es nicht möglich ist, den Mauspfeil des Hosts anzuzeigen, trotz der Option "Draw Cursor locally off/on". Somit ist der View-Only Mode unbrauchbar. Wer also das iPad als Remote Screen beispielsweise um mit Host-Trackpad bequem im Garten zu arbeiten verwenden will, kann das vergessen. Habe dem Hersteller bereits geschrieben, bislang keine Reaktion.  
Da bleibt nur SplashRemote mit SplashStreamer oder Remotix, was allerdings recht teuer ist. VNC Protokoll gibt problemlos Mauspfeil her, doch wenn es im Client nicht vorgesehen ist, ihn anzuzeigen ....
Echt schade, im übrigen ist auch die direkte Cursorsteuerung bescheiden. Arbeite seit 10 Jahren mit Remote Sessions, VNC, ... auf Linux, Mac, ... das hier ist unbrauchbar. Remotix nervt mit Unfähigkeit, Toolbar auszublenden auf dem eh schon kleinen Display aber es funktioniert. Splashtop hat keine native Sitzungsverwaltung, es ist nur bei angemeldetem User und ANGESCHLOSSENEM Bidschirm nutzbar. Also als richtig verlässlicher Client ebenso unbrauchbar, jedch bei vorhandener Sitzung auch mit Host-Eingabegeräten (KVM,... oder direkt) zu gebrauchen, im Gegensatz zu Mocha VNC

Tolle App. Ist Ihr Geld wert, wuerde sofort nochmal kaufen.Die Remotesteuerung meiner Windows7 Rechner, nebst virtuellen Rechnern klappt ohne wenn und aber. Auf den RemoteRechnern laeuft uVNC. Geschwindigkeitsproblem habe ich ueber WLan auch keine. Auch WOL klappt bei allen Rechnern.

nutze ihn regelmäßig
leider bin ich etwas verzweifelt, weil der client keine mausklicks mehr übertragen hat. quasi view only.
und dann findet man irgendwo in den faqs gaaanz unten:
"Warning
There is a mouse click problem with Mac OS X screen sharing and Lion , if there is a monitor to the left of the main monitor, or the monitors are at the top of each other. I have not found a way to solve this problem, and must wait for Apple fixing it."
das hätte man vielleicht auch etwas prominenter platzieren können, hätte mir viel zeit gespart.
trotzdem: guter client, angemessener preis.

Früher war die App Super. Aber jetzt nach der Änderrung des Vnc Servers geht es nicht mehr. Es sollte unbedingt X Server Support angeboten werden. Ansonsten gibts nach dem nächsten Update höchstens noch **.

Perfektes Programm. Man muss sich zwar ein paar Minuten an die Fernsteuern über das iPad gewöhnen, aber danach ein Hilfsmittel, das man nicht mehr missen möchte.

Mac im Wohnzimmer, Linux-Rechner im Schlafzimmer, Mac mini Server in der Ecke, sie lassen sich alle bequem vom Sofa aus bedienen. Dafür wurde das iPad erfunden.

Habe zuerst die lite-Version getestet. Aber Rechtsklick, Steuertasten, usw. runden das Proogramm erst richtig ab.

Einfach Lite-Version probieren - Die Vollversion wird man sich dann eh zulegen.

### **--- "Unintuitiv"
Pro: recht schnell, viel Remote Screen zu sehen, bei Bedarf sogar im Vollbild.

Contra: schlechtes Interface, nicht durchdacht, unintuitiv (man muss jedesmal die Hilfe konsultieren, weil man es sich nicht mal merken kann). Nichtssagende Icons (z.B. Screenlock Icon für einen Mousemove oder Klick auf ein anderes Icon und plötzlich verschwindet das Menü ohne dass man weiß wie man es wieder sichtbar machen kann?)
Außerdem sendet MochaVNC kein Wake-on-LAN.

Fazit: Habe Mocha VNC nun nach etwa einem Jahr von meinem iPad und iPhone gelöscht, weil es weitaus bessere Alternativen gibt. Sorry, hätte wirklich gerne ein besseres Fazit gezogen.
Ich kann den Programmierern nur raten, sich mal an einen Interaktionsdesigner zu wenden...

### **--- "Vor ca. 1 Jahr perfekt"
Ich schätze den Aufwand, den die Programmierer stetig zeigen, aber seit 1 Jahr wird es von update zu update unbrauchbarer. Das Neuste ist der Overkill und nur noch lächerlich. Schließe mich allen Vorrednern an, die die Menü-führung unintuitiv und unbenutzbar fanden. 2 Sterne dafür was es einmal war.

Bis zum letzen Update eine von mir viel genutzte und gut funktionierende App auf meinem iPod Touch 2G (iOS 4.2.1). Seit dem Upgrade auf Version 2.8 stürzt das Programm kurz nach der Verbindung zu meinem Mac mini sofort ab - verschiedene Einstellungen brachten keinen Erfolg. Sehr ärgerlich - wer braucht den neuen Schnick-Schnack, wenn er nicht funktioniert? Hoffentlich wird die "Verschlimmbesserung" bald bereinigt ...

Ich nutze VNC täglich für eine Firma. 
Selten auf dem iPhone, meist auf dem iPad!

Bisher war Mocha VNC gut, seit dem Update mit den dunklen Buttons, ist es genial, professionell, und unschlagbar. Wer den Vergleich mit Team Viewer zieht, scheint es nicht kommerziell nutzen zu müssen. 

Absolut 5 Sterne wert, und nicht nur für professionelle Zwecke!
