There is no good reason why anyone should have to connect to both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth just to dim the light. They could have easily put a switch on the oversized power button but didn’t. If someone wants to use the app features ok that’s cool I guess, but needing Wi-Fi and bluetooth just to turn the brightness up and down? Ridiculous
Nothing works, this should be simple.
I was forced to “upgrade” to their app-controlled experience when I sent my grow frame in for warranty service. Unfortunately the schedules I set regularly do not run and every time the app updates itself the schedule gets disabled. I’m not sure why they’re overburdening the very simple concept of a timer with wifi connectivity and an app that clearly doesn’t work.
I purchased one of the ModSprout light fixtures for my mother. After spending more than three hours, trying to connect to the light, I have given up. I tried using my mother's Samsung phone and my Apple iPhone. Neither would ever connect to the light. The app is extremely finicky, requiring me to enter my Wi-Fi password over six times each time I try to connect to the light. I intimately know the password for my Wi-Fi. I even turned the Wi-Fi password off to see if I can get it to connect and still no success. I followed every step that the app required to make connection. Therefore, I would deem this a crap app.
I love my modsprout tech.The app more than helps me being forgetful/opening my curtains. Succulents can now survive!

Instructions that came with the Growframe does not match what’s in the app. I cannot connect my Growframe to the app. I’ve been trying for an hour. So far the user experience of unboxing the Growframe, hanging the Growframe, and connecting to the app is extremely frustrating.
One of the worst app and smart lights I’ve dealt with. Connected multiple smart life devices using another app but these grow lights just drop connection all the time then go into a flashing modes that require reconnection. They need to fix the firmware for a consistent connection. This is the only device on our network that has an issue.
