Journey combines all of the things I have wanted and was using in separate apps into one. It has a fully-featured journal where you can insert tasks, photos, sketches, links, or even have an AI help you write. It has habit tracking, and it syncs all of my calendars. I can finally delete the separate apps I had for habits, calendar, reminders/tasks, and journaling and just use this one. After paying for a yearly subscription, I am noticing a lot of bugs and the app crashing on my phone when I open it. Some features just don’t work for me (like sending screenshots or images to my projects, which never send, and adding images to my projects when I’m within the project journal, as they can only be added to the bottom rather than wherever your cursor is at). I submitted feedback on their feedback platform, which was also buggy. I noticed most of the comments and issues listed there are unanswered. I also followed Journey on social, but they haven’t posted in months and the most recent post is promoting the Balance app. Is there still a team updating this app? I do really like that this app can make changes to Reminders/Calendar, which I couldn’t do with Actions. I’m going to keep using it since I paid already. Hopefully it gets better or I find something more current. Original: I am almost through a 7-day trial of this app. I also trialed the Studio and Balance app but found Journey fits my needs best. I really like the journals and special journals features and how customizable you can make them. I will probably pay for at least a year of this app as I am wanted to move away from my Notability planner to something with more integrations. The downside I can see right away though is that it doesn’t seem like this app is being updated. All of the articles in the Discover section are from 2023. The feedback/roadmap is blank for the future. There are lots of suggestions but Balance already has Apple Health integration, but I am having to add in my hours slept manually on Journey. I also wish I could write in the journal with my Apple Pencil, as it looked like you could in an older version on the tutorial I watched (also not updated for years). Overall, there’s a lot here I like.
