Love the simplicity and layout for the week. I don’t use the lists because I schedule everything to my external (Google) calendar so I can see it across multiple apps and platforms but this is really great. You can also add subtasks to events and check off events so u can easily see what u have completed for the week and what still needs doing. Love the interface and simplicity. I also love that moleskine has so many different offerings of apps so that we can find the best one that works for us. I liked the old Balance app - the illustrations were cute, the time blocking feature was visually coherent, and I enjoyed being able to set up sub-tasks within a particular routine. Unfortunately, the redesign has turned this into yet another boring planner app that isn’t as good as what’s already on the market. That said, the UI is clean, simple, and pleasant to look at. The scheduling function needs serious work - it’s nearly impossible to manually add activities right now; the time shown isn’t the time that gets saved, and editing activity duration or end time often resets or changes the start time in unhelpful ways. I’ve spent up to 5 minutes trying to get planner to save the correct time window for a single activity; until the functionality improves I’ve given up and will settle for having them display in the right sequential order. -- gth842s, 2025-01-08 ### ***-- "Why so many overlapping apps?" I really like how I can configure that in several ways to my liking, and I love the integration of the Timepage aesthetic, which has long been one of the reasons I gravitate toward Moleskine apps -- they're beautiful. However, I think there are a couple things missing here: 1 - There is no emphasis on long-term planning. Intentions can be used as a project board as a workaround, but it feels like there really needs to be some sort of "Projects" or "Areas" layer to this. Apple Reminders import also can be a long-term planning workaround, but I feel like for a premium app this should be built-in. 2 - Lack of widgets is currently a killer. One of my favorite features of any reminder app is having a lock screen widget where I can simply pull up my phone and be quickly reminded visually of what I'm supposed to be doing. Getting rid of the widgets / Live activity functionality Balance previously had is something that is a pain point currently. I tried writing using the in app help request function. That was a week ago and i still haven’t received a response.
