## Monero.com by Cake Wallet Reviews in United States

### *---- "Scam beware"
total scam do not use this,
you will lose your money. apple needs to delist
-- willyd61, 2026-07-18

### *---- "Please add VoiceOver accessibility - Blind people deserve Monero"
I really want to use Cake Wallet because it is open source and supports Monero, but as a completely blind iPhone user, I simply can’t use it independently. VoiceOver accessibility is not where it needs to be.

Many buttons are unlabeled or are announced simply as “Button,” making it impossible to know what they do. Navigation is inconsistent, focus sometimes jumps unpredictably, and some controls cannot be accessed or understood with VoiceOver at all. Tasks that should be straightforward, such as creating a wallet, sending funds, receiving funds, or navigating settings, become frustrating or impossible without sighted assistance.

This is especially disappointing because a cryptocurrency wallet should allow users to maintain their independence and privacy. Blind users should not have to rely on another person just to manage their own money.

I hope the developers prioritize accessibility by properly labeling controls, improving VoiceOver navigation, and testing the app with real blind users. Cake Wallet has the potential to be an excellent wallet for everyone, but until accessibility is taken seriously, I cannot recommend it to other VoiceOver users.

### *---- "Scam alerts"
Scam alert
-- Raxhid22, 2026-05-28

### *---- "Looks like a scam"
It looks like many people loose their money after storing them in this app - the developers are probably lying about the wallet being “non-custodial” - they probably steal your private keys and then randomly choose people to steal their money even if they claim they don’t. After that they’re writing nice comments like “please contact our support” which does nothing.
-- josh_hill, 2025-10-30

### ***** "Fantastic!"
I used to use Exodus wallet, and still do for some other things, for Monero. When they stopped supporting XMR I stressed and had to look elsewhere. Thankfully I found this Cake Monero wallet. The interface is slick and intuitive, and it syncs with the chain way faster than Exodus did. It also has in app swaps, through a third party which is risky, but I haven’t had any problems at all. Great app
-- Tdogx61, 2025-10-14

### ****- "Stop removing and changing themes"
I have loved the inclusion of various themes, but now everything has been removed and the colors chosen are bland and uninspiring. If you’re going to continue updating the themes and icon please allow us to have the option to save the previous themes, import/export them, and try not to remove things so quickly.
-- GMEtwoMOON, 2025-06-26

### ***** "Easy to use"
Easy to use monero only wallet
-- sudowoodo00, 2025-06-10

### ***** "Cake Wallet 4 Life"
The best there is, the best there ever will be
-- Cajun_GaryN, 2025-04-16

### ***** "The best!"
Love this wallet as a hot wallet option! Can buy Gift cards, send Xmr and even swap!
-- Anon_136, 2025-02-05

### ***** "Wallet"
Best wallet actually… ❤️
-- mohsen kheyri, 2025-01-12

### *---- "Very disappointing"
When you you uninstall the app and reinstall and you want to start over it keeps asking for your 2FA on your "other device". There is no other device, I reinstalled, I expect a clean slate, not your leftovers nagging me for a 2FA. What do I have to do - reinstall the OS?
-- Sarassine, 2024-10-30

### *---- "Scam"
Scam
-- Tree monstah, 2024-10-21

### *---- "Total scam"
Had to give my ss number. Tried to make an exchange twice. Both times, it just “processed” for hours. Contacted customer service. They told me it was my fault. When I showed the screen shot that I did everything correct & their system said “processing your request please wait” … then they wanted to say my bank declined them, then it was my credit card declined them. Both lies, I called my bank & my credit card, NOTHING was declined. So rather than try to fix the problem or take responsibility, they wanted to lie and put it on me. Now they have my Social Security number and my bank account credit card numbers. My experience has been horrible! tread lightly ..
-- BellaFigurePro, 2024-08-25

### *---- "invalid argument"
i have tried several ways to restore anc creat a monero waller via the Cake app. Every time i get this "Invalid arguement(s):failed to load dynamic library monero_libwallet_blah blah blah blah,,,,,etc, etc, etc

i dunno.. i was able to create one a few months ago but not anymore
-- truveer, 2024-08-16

### *---- "Can’t Use Ledger Based XMR wallet"
I can’t restore my XMR wallet that is tied to my ledger. The app does not have an option to restore from ledger device so I can’t use it without creating a whole different XMR wallet. This is stupid, the other Cake app has the option to restore from hardware device, please make the app so that I can restore from a ledger hardware device, like the competition on Android please.
-- girlsk8boards, 2024-07-29

### *---- "Baaad"
I exchanged USD for monero. They charged my bank account three times and when I reached out to their support I’ve yet to get a response three weeks after. Not happy
-- 99weed99, 2024-07-22

### ***-- "Good but not as good as cakewallet"
Cakewallet is made by the same people but includes other currencies and seems to have less issues, at least for me.
-- Tobo4547, 2024-06-11

### *---- "Monero"
Is a gotdam scammm
-- Jo$$-56$!, 2024-06-07

### ***-- "Won’t even let me buy Monero"
It’s not connecting to the platform where I can buy Monero. It fails every time I try to buy.
